The A-180-4 Quad Buffer is a module with four CV buffers. It is used when the CV voltage drops due to load changes or other reasons and needs to be buffered.
The bottom three buffer units are normalized to the outputs of the topmost buffer unit. This also allows the module to be used as a 1-in-4-out buffered multiple when there is no signal input at the inputs of the bottom three buffer units.

Primary use
Buffer the outputs of CV switch modules (A-150-1, A-150-8, A-151, A-152, etc.).
Comments : For bidirectional switches, it is not possible to integrate a buffer in the switching module because the direction is not known (which terminal of the switch functions as an input and which terminal functions as an output). All electronic switches are subject to small residual resistance. This can cause small voltage drops without buffering. This can be especially problematic if the VCOs are controlled by switch voltages.
Buffering of CV interfaces, quantizers, through-limiters, S&H / T&H, sequencers, etc. when the VCO is controlled by CV (if that module does not have a buffered output.)
