  PLAYTECH has introduced the “Black Pulse,” a versatile bass preamp/DI that combines drive, a 3-band EQ, and DI functionality in a single unit.
  Using the GAIN and BLEND controls, you can create anything from natural overdrive that preserves the character of your original tone to a more powerful, aggressive drive sound. In addition to BASS, MIDDLE, and TREBLE controls, the Black Pulse features a sweepable midrange frequency control ranging from 160 Hz to 3 kHz for precise tone shaping.
  The BASS control also offers selectable center frequencies of 40 Hz and 80 Hz. Choose 40 Hz for a deep, rich low end or 80 Hz for a tighter, punchier bass response.
