The A-130-2 Dual Linear/Exponential VCA is a slim dual VCA module. It has the same functions as the A-132-3 Dual Liner/Exp VCA in a size of only 4HP, allowing the user to build a system that makes effective use of limited space.
This module consists of two VCAs (voltage controlled amplifiers) of identical specifications. Each VCA has a Gain knob (also called manual gain control or initial gain) Each VCA has a Gain knob (manual gain control, also called initial gain) and a CV input with attenuator. The characteristics of the control scale can be switched between linear and exponential. All inputs and outputs are DC-coupled, so the VCA can be used to process both audio signals and CV voltages. It can be used, for example, to control the volume of an incoming oscillator or for CV control of the level of an LFO or envelope signal. No attenuator is provided to attenuate the input level of the signal, but it can handle signals up to 16Vpp without distortion (-8V ? +8V) can be processed. An external attenuator (such as the A-183-1) must be used at the same time to input and process higher signal levels.
