The BS-3 is a return to Doepfer's original vision of analog modular synthesis.

The BS-3 is an easily configured system for everyone from Eurorack aficionados to beginners, and can be used as a base for exploring sound synthesis and electronic sounds, or as an auxiliary tool for delving deeper into various types of synthesis. For example, you can create four-part paraphonic patches or use the ring modulator to create complex sounds in a variety of ways, including percussion and drum sounds in addition to classic synth sounds. The system's two filters can also be self-oscillating and used as additional sound sources, and the Wave Shaper can be used to alter simple sounds to change the overall timbre.

Since the system configuration required varies with the user's personal requirements, the system can be freely expanded by removing the BS-3 blank panels and replacing them with Eurorack modules, including those from other manufacturers.

Seven types of lineups to choose from to match your operating environment
The A-100 BS-3 series offers seven types to choose from to match your operating environment. The A-100 BS-3 Series is available in seven different types: a reasonably priced stationary wooden case, a portable case if you often take it outside for studio or live performances, and a rack-mount case that can fit into a 19-inch rack or rack case in your studio.

The mounted modules can be removed and relocated as desired.

In the 9U 3-tier size case, modules can be expanded by removing the lower blank panel. Modules can be mounted up to the maximum capacity of 84HP or power supply, including sequencers, controllers, and additional filters. Since Eurorack modules are a universal standard, modules from many other manufacturers around the world can also be mounted.

All cases are equipped with a high-capacity power supply unit PSU3. This allows for expansion of the system with plenty of room for power supply when modules are expanded.

*Some modules cannot be mounted, such as deep modules.
