Digital noise has a different texture than analog noise.
The frequency of the internal clock oscillator can be adjusted manually ("Frequ." knob) or via an external CV input with attenuator ("FCV" terminal). The internal clock frequency ranges from approximately 50Hz to 40kHz.
It can also be controlled by an external clock signal (e.g. VCO, fast VCO, LFO, MIDI clock) using the "XClk" terminal. When patched to this terminal, the internal oscillator is immediately switched off and the signal input to the "XClk" terminal generates noise instead of the internal clock signal.
It has two noise outputs: a zero symmetric output (upper Noise terminal) and a pure positive output (lower Noise terminal). The symmetric signal is mainly used for audio applications. The positive output is mainly used for digital control applications (e.g. random envelope triggers, random clock signals, random switching).
