The BS-2, built using Doepfer's classic modules from a long history, is a complete modular system with functionality that can even be described as ""beautiful.""

With this system alone, you'll experience the powerful sound of analog synthesizers and the joy of flexible, intuitive sound creation through patching.

Modules can be freely swapped and replaced, and by choosing from the three-tier 9U lineup, you can expand one tier of modules to create your own unique system.

A-100 Series Basic System

The A-100 BS-2 has been a part of Doepfer's lineup since the mid-1990s, when the A-100 series was released.

While undergoing numerous minor changes due to minor feature updates and the discontinuation of some modules, it has continued to be a favorite of many musicians for over 20 years.

The A-100 BS-2 embodies Doepfer's philosophy and aesthetic, and the more you use it, the more you discover new things. You're sure to become engrossed in the world of Eurorack modular synths.

A comprehensive set of basic modules allows you to create a wide variety of sounds using patch cables.

Includes all basic modules, including VCOs, VCFs, VCAs, LFOs, and EGs.

Audio sources and processors include a ring modulator for metallic textures, an audio divider that layers sounds one octave below, a Moog-style transistor ladder filter, and an Oberheim XPander-style multimode filter.

Standard processing such as FM, sync, and PWM are achieved through patching.

Among the modulation sources is a wide range of options, including an ultra-fast LFO, one of the hallmarks of the Doepfer sound, and a four-step sequencer that can be used to create minimalist phrases or for audio processing.

It's also a good idea to get creative and connect cables to unexpected places. You might discover new sounds you never imagined.

There are no limitations to patching; as long as it produces a great sound, that's the answer.

[MIDI and USB Standard]
The A-100 BS-2 is equipped with the A-190-4 converter module, which converts MIDI and USB MIDI into CV/Gate control voltages for modular synths, making it ideal for connecting to MIDI devices and incorporating it into a DTM environment.

You can connect and play your favorite MIDI devices, such as MIDI keyboards, synthesizers, and sequencers. You can also connect it directly to your PC with a single USB cable and incorporate it into a DTM environment, playing the SS-1 with MIDI sequences entered in your DAW.

It's also interesting to input audio output from software synths and other devices into the SS-1 for processing.

Patching modules together with patch cables to create sounds will inspire you in ways you can't get by creating sounds with a mouse while looking at a computer screen.
