The A-121-3 12dB Multimode Filter is a slim 12dB multimode filter module.

The A-121-2 is a 4HP size filter with the same functions as the A-121-2 12dB Multimode Filter, allowing the user to build a system that makes effective use of limited space. The A-121-3 has the same functionality as the A-121-2, except that the attenuator for the resonance CV input has been omitted.

The A-121-3 is a multimode filter with a -12dB/Oct cutoff slope and four simultaneous outputs: low-pass (LP), high-pass (HP), band-pass (BP), and notch (N), each with different characteristics. Three CV inputs are provided for controlling the module with external CV: CV1 (for freq., without attenuator), CV2 (for freq., with attenuator), and CQ (for Q, without attenuator).

The A-121-3 has manual controls for Frequ (Frequency), FCV2 (attenuator for CV2 input), Q (Resonance), and Level (level control for audio input). When an audio source with an A-100 series audio level is input to the A-121-3, clipping/distortion will occur when the level exceeds approximately the 5 scale.

When the resonance is increased to near maximum, the A-121-3 oscillates itself, so it can be used as a sine wave oscillator without an audio source input. In this case, the CV1 input supports 1V/Oct voltage, so it is possible to play with a scale. (Tuning accuracy is not as accurate as other VCO modules.)
