How can I purchase the education version of Pro Tools? [AVID]

Make sure you are eligible for the Education Version of Pro Tools and get verified in your Avid account after the product arrives.

■Eligibility
- Students: For those currently enrolled in Graduate, 4-year University, 2-year University, Trade/Vocational School, or other educational institutions certified by the government
- Teachers/Staff: For those currently holding employment with Graduate, 4-year University, 2-year University, High School, Junior High School, Elementary School, Kindergarten, Trade/Vocational School, or other educational institutions certified by the government
- Homeschooling Teachers: For those currently holding employment defined by local homeschooling regulations
- Senior/Junior High School Students: For those currently enrolled in High School, Junior High School, or other educational institutions certified by the government
- Senior/Junior High School Students in Home Education: For those currently in home education programs defined by local homeschooling regulations

*Please note that kindergarten and elementary school students are not eligible.

*Students who are not enrolled in trade/vocational schools that are not certified by the government are not eligible for the education priced versions of Avid software.
*For students in higher education, "current" means the period within the past 6 months.
*All documents certifying the employment of faculty and staff must be dated within the past 6 months.

◇University/Graduate Students - A copy of the ID issued by the educational institution to which the applicant currently belongs is required. Please submit one of the following documents to the manufacturer.
- A copy of the student ID card with information such as the applicant's name, school name, and current grade
- A copy of the tuition statement with the school emblem, applicant's name, date, and current grade
- A copy of the enrollment certificate issued by the school's Academic Affairs Department with the applicant's name, school name, date, and current grade
- A copy of the timetable with the applicant's name, school name, date, and current grade
- A copy of the report card or certificate with the applicant's name, school name, date, and current grade
- Screen captures of school websites may also be accepted as a substitute for official documents if the applicant's name, school name, and valid date are clearly visible (AVID will determine if they are valid)

◇Teachers/Staff - A copy of the ID issued by the educational institution to which the applicant currently belongs is required. Please submit one of the following documents to the manufacturer.
- A copy of the applicant's salary statement with his/her name and employer (educational institution) name
- Certificate of employment issued by the educational institution

◇Senior/Junior High School Students - A copy of the ID issued by the educational institution to which the applicant currently belongs is required. Please submit one of the following documents to the manufacturer.
- A copy of the student ID card with information such as the applicant's name, school name, and current grade
- A copy of the report card, tuition receipt, or any form of document from the school authorities that confirms the student's enrollment status (all documents must include the school name, region name, student name, and current grade)

◇Homeschooling Teachers/Students - Documents certifying the identity of homeschooling teachers or students are required. Please submit one of the following documents to the manufacturer.
- A copy of the current home education membership card
- A copy of the current curriculum receipt
- Official documents issued by the local government recognizing the student's family's intention of home education

*A strict examination is required to issue the license for the education versions. Since it will become available after confirming the identity of the applicant, it usually takes about 2-5 business days. Please note that you will not be able to start using the software during the examination period.
