What does 1:18 mean in the specs of guitar pegs?
It is the gear ratio of the pegs, which is the standard for how many times you turn the peg to make one rotation.
There are gear ratio of 1:14, 1:16, 1:18, etc., but the larger the number on the right becomes, the finer the adjustment becomes possible.
