Hey everyone. It's already starting to feel like spring, isn't it? Spring is said to be the season of both meeting new faces and farewells, and our family is no exception. This spring, my older brother is getting married, and my younger sister is graduating from university and starting a new chapter as a working adult. Such joyous events... (>_<)
With these happy events piling up, I find myself feeling a bit unsettled. But thanks to all of this, I've entered my fourth year as a working professional. I’ll be starting this year with a refreshed mindset and a firm determination to do my best. (lol)
Now, just like last time, this blog is related to lighting. The theme for this time is none other than a
Q&A on Fog Machines!
We've been receiving a lot of inquiries about fog liquids, so I've gathered some of the most common questions and answers. I hope this will be helpful for those of you considering purchasing fog liquid. Let’s dive right in!
First, About Fog Liquid
Fog liquid is used in lighting equipment known as fog machines (or smoke machines). When this liquid is heated and vaporized, it generates white smoke (fog) that’s commonly used in stage performances and events.
■ Note:
There are several types of smoke machines, including fog machines, phaser machines, and low fog machines. Be sure to use the most suitable machine for each situation.
Stage Productions
Fog liquid enhances lighting effects and creates a mystical atmosphere. The effect enhances beams of light and adds depth to the space.

Now, let's get into the main topic of Fog Liquid Q&A
What are the differences between the various types of fog liquids?
There are mainly three differences:
1. Fog (Smoke) Retention Time
The concentration, diffusion, and duration of the smoke vary depending on the composition ratio of the ingredients.
For example, light-type fog liquids like Antari/FLR5 and STAGE EVOLUTION/FLL4 have a shorter retention time, while heavy-type fog liquids like Antari/FLG5 and STAGE EVOLUTION/FLH4 have a longer retention time.

2. Types of liquids
There are two types of fog liquids: water-based fog liquids and oil-based haze liquids.
Water-based: Generally used in fog machines.
Oil-based: Haze machine. Produces a finer mist of smoke and spreads it evenly.
3. Differences in ingredients
Propylene glycol and glycerin are mainly used, but the quality and duration of the smoke varies depending on the ratio of these ingredients.
Does using a fog machine leave a sticky residue?
Fog liquids contain high-viscosity liquids. After use, it's recommended to clean the fog machine itself as well as the walls, tables, and other surfaces in the room where it was used.
Will smoke detectors or fire alarms be triggered?
In the case of smoke detection alarms, any type of fog can potentially trigger a response. It's important to check and confirm the situation before use.
Is it safe to mix old fog liquid with new liquid?
The expiration date of fog liquids is one year after opening. Fog liquids that have passed their expiration date should not be used. Always use only new liquid.
Can you add color to the smoke?
We do not offer paint for smoke machines. Mixing paint into the fog liquid can cause blockages in internal heaters and lead to equipment failure.
Can fog machines be used outdoors?
Fog machines can be used outdoors, but caution is needed regarding weather conditions and humidity. The fog is highly susceptible to wind, and strong winds will quickly disperse the fog. The particles in the fog are very fine, and even a light breeze can cause it to dissipate.
What is the shelf life of fog liquid?
Unopened fog liquid can be stored for about 3 years. It should be kept in a place with low humidity, away from direct sunlight. Once opened, make sure the cap is tightly closed and try to use it up as quickly as possible.
How was it? This time, we provided a blog about fog liquid, which we often receive inquiries about. I hope it was helpful to everyone. See you again (@^^)/~~.
