Walrus Audio is a brand known for its innovative and refined sound and art design that originated from a guitar club in Oklahoma, USA. Since its inception in 2011, they have released 25 models, consistently impressing players worldwide with their distinctive sound concepts and meticulous craftsmanship, and they have gained popularity along the way. In this review, I'm going to focus on 8 models that particularly caught my attention. After trying them out, each one wielded effects that were so powerful that I became an instant fan. I hope you'll join me until the end of this article to explore these remarkable pedals!
Walrus Audio / Melee: Wall of Noise
This pedal is recommended for those who have thought about pursuing the ideal shoegazer sound by collecting numerous distortion and reverb pedals. But, I then wondered if they could create that “wall of sound” more easily. With this pedal, you can adjust the amount of distortion and reverb precisely using the joystick on the top right, allowing for a wide range of expressions from beautiful ambient tones to projectile-like sounds.

Walrus Audio / Eons Five-State Fuzz
This one features a diverse range of fuzz, allowing you to achieve a lo-fi sound reminiscent of the 80s and 90s by adjusting the voltage, as well as energetic and gritty tones. This is a lot of fun. I particularly liked the setting where the VOLTAGE CONTROL is set to 12 o'clock in the germanium soft clipping mode because it produced a sound that blended distortion and fuzz.

Walrus Audio / JANUS
This new fuzz/tremolo pedal has a striking, innovative appearance. Similar to the Melee: Wall of Noise, it allows you to adjust the amount of distortion and tremolo using a joystick. It easily achieves the lo-fi, nostalgic sounds of bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Dinosaur Jr. I recommend it for those seeking a slightly gritty and satisfying sound with lower resolution!

Walrus Audio / FATHOM
Choose from 4 types of reverbs with this pedal, each with adjustable delay and width using the X knob. What makes this pedal interesting is its usability even when all knobs are at full blast without sounding artificial. Whether it's the ethereal Hall, Plate, or Lo-fi modes, or the decadent and sacred atmosphere of the Sonar reverb blending the upper and lower octaves, this pedal is sure to stimulate creativity!

A reverb pedal with a dazzling and irresistibly captivating charm. It features 5 modes, each adjustable with the X fader, Stretch fader, and Width knob. It's a reliable ally that caters to the player's preferences down to the smallest details. The Shimmer reverb of the light mode and the Rise mode reminiscent of reverse reverb create effects that ambient enthusiasts will find irresistible!

This is a basic delay pedal. It features three types: digital, analog, and reverse. Particularly, the clean decay of the analog delay is quite mesmerizing. Walrus Audio / Julianna Deluxe Chorus/Vibrato
I really want this Chorus pedal the most. It's so fun because you can completely change the sound atmosphere by selecting different waveform types. When you maximize the effect with irregular waveforms, you can create eerie sounds that are perfect for sound effects. Among them, I personally recommend setting the d-c-v- knob to 2 o'clock on a rounded waveform! By the way, this pedal really takes off when connected in stereo.
