The latest version V.12 of JBL PRO CONNECT, a dedicated application for wireless control of JBL's EON700, PRX900, EON ONE Mk2, and the PRX ONE powered PA speakers, has been released.
I would like to immediately introduce the improvements made by this version upgrade.
TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Bluetooth Audio Streaming for EON ONE Mk2 and PRX ONE
Stereo playback during Bluetooth music playback, which was released with the EON700 series, is now also available with the EON ONE MK2 and PRX ONE. By pairing two of the same model, wireless stereo playback is possible, which is useful for dance lessons and school presentations.

Ability to Pair and Assign Speakers in TWS Mode on the App
In the EON700 series, pairing can now be done on the app screen, whereas on the EON700 series, it was necessary to bring the speaker body close to the screen and press the buttons at the same time.
"TWS" has been added to the bottom of the application settings screen.

When "TWS" is touched, the screen shown here appears.

When you select "Host" or "Remote," a confirmation message will appear asking if you want to set it in TWS mode.

All Parameters can be Adjusted More Precisely with +/- Buttons
When you want to fine-tune each parameter such as GAIN, EQ (GAIN, FREQUENCY, Q), LIMITER, etc., it was difficult to do so using the conventional adjustment method of "sliding with a finger touch". The new addition of this button not only simplifies this operation, but also eliminates the mistake of accidentally adding a large change.

Add +6dB of Gain to MIX OUT on PRX ONE and EON ONE Mk2
The maximum value before the change was "0 dB", but now it is "+6 dB".
Fixed EQ bug on EON ONE Mk2 and PRX ONE
There was a bug in version 5.1.5.0 where turning the 3-band parametric EQ knobs (TREBLE / MID / BASS) for each channel (even if changed on the app) did not change the sound quality.

Other updates include
- Improved synchronization between apps and speakers
- Performance improvements to the OTA (over-the-air) firmware process
- Improved EQ "ball" grab radius
- Improved slider step size, range, and resolution
- Performance enhancements to snapshot saving and loading
- Other bug and performance enhancements
About Firmware Update
When pairing JBL speakers with JBL PRO CONNECT (V.12) for the first time, the speaker itself must have the latest firmware version. If it is not the latest version, an update is required. Please update the firmware according to the application screen.
When pairing JBL speakers with JBL PRO CONNECT V.12 for the first time, the speaker firmware must be the latest version. If it is not the latest version, please follow the instructions on the app screen to update the firmware.
When you try to pair the speaker with the app, "Your (model name)" will be displayed, so please follow the screen to update the firmware.

When the installation is finished and the reboot begins, the LCD display for the "EON ONE Mk2" will turn off and the indicators from CH1 to CH5 will light up yellow. This state will continue for 2-3 minutes, which may make you anxious, but wait without touching anything.
After the reboot is finished, check that the Firmware Version is the latest one from the Setting menu of the main unit.

For more information on the firmware update procedure, please refer to my previous blog "JBL PRO CONNECT V.11 Wireless Control App for JBL Powered PA Speakers Released!” for details on the firmware update procedure.
Note: This update requires the speaker to be removed once from the app and control device settings menu after the speaker itself has been firmware updated. Once this process is complete, you will be able to re-pair with your device.
Version numbers before and after changes due to this firmware update
- PRX ONE 5.1.5.0 → 5.3.2.0
- EON ONE Mk2 5.1.5.0 → 5.2.4.0

- PRX 900 FR 5.0.8.0 → 5.1.2.0

JBL is constantly improving its apps and making them easier to use for its users, and while the sound quality and quality of the speakers themselves are of course the main selling point of JBL's PA speakers, I also recommend them for their long-lasting reliability!
