How to Update the Firmware on the JBL PRO CONNECT

The JBL EON700 series of powered speakers, EON ONE MK2 all-in-one column speakers, and PRX ONE should have their speaker body firmware updated on a regular basis. In this blog, I will show you the procedure along with the iPhone screen.

1. First, download the dedicated application “JBL PRO CONNECT” to your smartphone or tablet.

2. Turn on the JBL speakers.

3. Select “BT Control Pairing” from the SETTING screen in the MENU and then go to the following screen.

4. Launch the application and touch “Add Speakers”.

5. Touch ‘Connect’ on the displayed speaker.

6. The “Do you want to connect?” message will appear on the LCD display of the speaker.

7. When the status changes from Connecting to Connected, touch “Done” to confirm that the speaker has been added to the home screen and the connection is now complete.

8. From the Home screen of the application, touch “More” and then touch “Firmware Update”.

9. Touch the symbol next to “Firmware Updated” on the speaker.

10. When “Installing” reaches 100%, the speaker will automatically restart and the update is complete.

11. After the firmware update is complete, if another firmware update is not required, the following message will be displayed.

If you feel that the speaker is not behaving properly, check to see if the firmware has been updated along with resetting the unit. Although the release of the latest firmware is irregular, be sure to check from time to time to ensure that you are using the latest version.
