TC Electronic has been researching, developing, manufacturing, and selling audio processors and effects pedals for musicians since their foundation in 1976. The brand is trusted by players all over the world for its lineup of high-quality guitar/bass pedals and more items made with outstanding technology and creativity.
In this article, I’m going to introduce my five recommended pedals from TC Electronic. Please stay with me until the end!
TC Electronic / Polytune 3 Polyphonic Tuner
First up is TC Electronic’s best-seller, the Polytune 3!
This tuner for guitar and bass features a super-bright 109-LED display with a built-in ambient light detector that automatically adjusts the brightness of the display to provide perfect tuning even in dimly-lit places. In addition, the Polytune 3 allows for tuning in three modes for different purposes. In the polyphonic tuning mode, you can tune all the strings at once, so you can save time just by strumming open strings! The DC OUT jack allows you to connect power to other pedals from the Polytune 3 when using a power supply!
Another attractive feature of this pedal is its buffer. The Polytune 3 has an onboard BONAFIDE BUFFER by TC Electronic to protect the original guitar tone by reducing deterioration of sound quality due to long cabling or complex pedal settings.
The Polytune 3 is recommended for a wide range of players, from beginning musicians looking for their first tuner pedal to professionals looking for the best sound!
TC Electronic / Flashback 2 Delay
This is the Flashback 2 Delay, featuring 7 delay presets and 3 TonePrint slots. TonePrint allows you to use signature presets created by musicians around the world on TC Electronic’s free TonePrint App! Another key feature of the Flashback 2 Delay is the MASH technology, a pressure-sensitive expression control system. A pressure-sensitive sensor is on the footswitch that changes the way effects are applied according to how strong you step on the switch. By using this function, you can achieve intuitive and free sound creation and spatial expression!
The Analog-Dry-Through is also attractive because it helps to prevent the deterioration of sound quality and delay in touch!
TC Electronic / Skysurfer Reverb
Next up is the Skysurfer Reverb.
Personally, I like the exquisite matching between the model name Skysurfer and the pale light blue color of the casing!
The cost effectiveness of the Skysurfer Reverb just makes this reverb pedal so attractive! Despite its low price, it has three reverb modes (Spring, Room, and Hall) and three adjustable controls, which are sufficient for creating a reverb sound. The effect can be applied in a very natural way, and the sound is easy to use without any weird quirks.
If you are looking for your first reverb pedal, there are no better reverb pedals than this Skysurfer Reverb!
TC Electronic / MojoMojo Overdrive
This overdrive pedal is the MojoMojo Overdrive pedal.
It has a unique name, but it is an authentic overdrive pedal with an attractive amp-like drive feel! The MojoMojo Overdrive has two-band EQ with active BASS and TREBLE, and a VOICE switch that allows you to change the bass response, giving you flexible control over tight lows and shimmering highs. You can create a wide range of drive sounds from clean boosts to lead tones!
If you are a guitarist who is looking for a new distortion pedal, check this one out!
TC Electronic / Spark Mini Booster
This last one I’m introducing here is the Spark Mini Booster.
It is a clean booster with powerfulness that you can’t imagine from its compact looks. In addition to simply boosting the volume, this pedal also creates a strong, fat, and rich guitar sound! The PrimeTime function allows you to turn on effects while holding the footswitch, making it possible to smoothly boost individual phrases, which is also a very attractive feature!
The design is elegant, and its compactness will save you space on your pedal board. You will always want the Spark Mini Booster at your feet!
How was it? Of course, there are many more excellent pedals available from TC Electronic! Please check them out!
