Inter BEE 2022 - Even Beginners Found the Video Equipment Experience Enjoyable - Part 2

Inter BEE 2022 was held over three days in November 2022, and as the air of self-restraint has gradually eased, the event was indeed crowded with visitors, with some booths so busy that it was impossible to get inside.

Following on from my previous blog post (PART 1), I would like to introduce some of the booths that I managed to enter and experience amidst the large number of visitors. The order in which the booths are introduced is based on the order in which I walked around them.

■ Libec

Libec is a Japanese camera tripod brand that continues to produce products of outstanding quality and operability.
As a brand that has produced many Good Design Award-winning products, I was also attracted to the interior design of the booth, which showed the brand's commitment to quality. The walls of the booth have a Japanese atmosphere, and in these areas, I could also sense the enthusiasm of the Japanese tripod brand.
The first thing that caught my eye when I entered the booth was the ground spreader type HS-150C and the mid-V spreader type HS-150MC, both of which are combined with carbon legs as a variation of the lightweight HS-150 camera model.

Ideal for mirrorless cameras, DSLRs and small cameras, these models have heads that can be mounted on either 75 mm ball tripods or flat-base tripods. The stepless counterbalance mechanism is a model that has attracted a great deal of attention, partly because it can reliably stop the camera at any tilt angle. In fact, it attracted the attention of many people at the booth.

The highlight of the Liebeck booth was the LX-ePed, a motorised pedestal for PTZ cameras.

It is a product with two specifications, ground spreader and dolly, which will be on sale this spring and can be remotely raised and lowered by a wired remote control.

■ Sigma

Now, I was all excited about the Libec tripods and the next stop was the lens booth. SIGMA lenses are not only high quality, but they are compatible with a wide range of brands and have a broad lineup from wide-angle to telephoto, making them reliable in a wide variety of shooting situations.

The brand is also renowned for its “brimming with love” promotions for camera-loving users, including events that allow users to borrow Sigma cameras to experience shooting with them. At Inter BEE 2022, Sigma's artistic booth featured a recreation of a shooting studio and other shooting locations.
The latest FF High Speed Prime Line 65mm T1.5 FF (hereafter T1.5 FF) and the FF Classic Prime Line 65mm T1.5 were also on display, and they were the talk of the town. While maintaining a sense of unity with existing lenses, the T1.5 FF has upgraded features such as focus breathing, which is also designed with the existing Sigma aficionados in mind.

The FF Classic Prime Line, which also offers resolution for 8K photography and a compact size, is a superb model series that combines high resolution, low contrast, and classical expression based on lens performance using the latest technology.

■ Canare

Personally, I have been attached to the Canare Electric booth since I was a student with their guitar cables. One thing that particularly captured my interest was the exhibition of products from the new brand Caaditz and their systems for 4K video transmission systems.

The Canare 4K AV-over-IP Solution is a new solution that replaces the AV matrix system with a technology called Software Defined Video over Ethernet (SDVoE).

The software-based AV control enables the construction to have low-latency, simple, and more cost-effective 4K video transmission systems without the need for dedicated equipment such as video processors or distribution units.
The equipment used in this system, including controllers, transmitters and receivers, was also on display, and a noteworthy feature is that it’s really compact.

There were many more booths I visited! There is no end to the highlights of the show, including hot new products and a booth with a lot of power, which I will introduce in PART 3 of this blog!
