Have you ever heard of an event called “Inter BEE”?
Inter BEE (International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition) is one of Japan’s largest exhibitions where the latest technologies from professional fields such as broadcasting, audio, lighting, and video are gathered in one place. Held every November at Makuhari Messe, it is known as a “festival” where many audio engineers, video creators, system integrators, and manufacturers showcase their latest solutions.
This year was no exception—it was packed with excitement, and it offered a valuable opportunity to feel the energy of the visitors while directly exploring industry trends and next-generation technologies.
And at Inter BEE 2025, we exhibited MACKIE products!

For this exhibition, we focused on mobile PA and portable sound systems—categories that have seen rapidly growing demand in recent years—and set up a display that allowed visitors to experience firsthand MACKIE’s signature strengths: “ready to use on-site,” “usable anywhere,” and “easy to carry.”
Among the products, the three models that drew the most attention were the ProFX10 GO, Thump GO, and Thump Sub GO.
All three excel in battery operation, portability, and practicality, and many visitors commented, “This is something we can use immediately on-site,” and “This would really broaden what we can do at events.”
The first product we’d like to highlight is the compact mixer born from a fresh idea: the ProFX10 GO.
As the name “GO” suggests, this is a portable mixer designed with mobility and on-site operation in mind, and its biggest feature is its ability to run on battery power.
The need for mixers that aren’t dependent on power conditions, such as for outdoor events, locations where it’s difficult to secure electricity, or simple PA setups—has been increasing year by year, and many people have reacted with, “So this kind of mixer finally exists.”
It also comes equipped, of course, with the high-quality “GigFX” effects that are characteristic of the ProFX series.
With reverb, delay, chorus, and more available for quick sound shaping, it drew a great deal of attention as a model that can be used by a wide range of people, from musicians to event operators.
At the exhibition booth, microphones and playback devices were actually connected and operated while running on battery power, and the comments I heard most often were,
“It’s light, yet it has everything you need,”
and
“With just this one unit, you can handle an entire site.”
Next, I would like to introducethe Thump GO portable PA speaker.
Its ability to be used stress-free even in places where securing power is difficult—such as outdoor live performances, street shows, or small-scale events in commercial spaces—brought a wide range of visitors to the booth, not only those involved in PA and streaming, but also instructors, lecturers, performers, and more.
As for the sound, MACKIE’s signature powerful and clear output is fully present.
During actual demo playback, many people were surprised by the depth and spread of the low end, far beyond what its size would suggest, and we received comments like,
“This one unit is enough to run an event,”
and
“For a portable PA, the balance is excellent.”
Its user-friendly features, such as Bluetooth wireless playback and preset EQs for easy tone shaping, were also well received. It reaffirmed that this model is one we can confidently recommend even to first-time speaker users.
And the product that especially drew attention at this exhibition was the “Thump Sub GO”.
Up until now, most easy-to-use battery-powered PA systems were limited to “full-range only”, so the debut of a portable subwoofer capable of wireless operation caused many visitors to stop and take a closer look.
By pairing it with the Thump GO, you can build a full-fledged low-frequency system suitable for everything from small events to DJ performances.
Those who work on-site understood particularly well the value of being able to use a subwoofer on battery power, and we received many reactions such as,
“The size of this sub is revolutionary,”
and
“This will completely change the sound quality of outdoor events.”
During the booth demo, visitors compared the sound of the Thump GO alone with the Thump GO plus and the Thump Sub GO, and they were able to experience firsthand how completely different the depth, stability, and headroom of the low end becomes.
Among the visitors, some even shared ideas that were educational for us—such as, “If only this were available for train events,” referring to events held inside train cars.
It was especially well received by event organizers and DJs, who commented, “With this, we can build a truly capable PA system that’s still portable.”
■ To Summarize
At this year’s Inter BEE, the event became an opportunity for visitors to directly experience MACKIE’s strength as a brand. It’s portable yet truly professional.
In particular, the three products ProFX10 GO, Thump GO, and Thump Sub GO felt like they are increasingly expected to become standard equipment for on-site use going forward.
To everyone who visited and to those who spoke with us at the booth, thank you very much.
We will continue to share the appeal of MACKIE and bring the latest updates, so please stay tuned.
