In 2019, many new products we’re born in the world of video equipment and audio equipment.
Many visitors probably felt the possibilities of visual entertainment progress from "Inter BEE” and “NAB”.
In particular Inter BEE, held November in 2019, many visitors were probably knocked out about the heat and scale in the show.

In this blog, We will introduce new products in 2019 while reporting on the Inter BEE show.
First, we visted Blackmagic Design. Which disconnect the stunned visitors
from the entrance of the venue In conspicuously stand out appeal.

When I entered, there were two really big booths and it was an overwhelming production. One was a product booth, and the other was a practical training booth for users of DaVinci Resolve, an editing tool that has become a hot topic in the cinema production industry due to its various capabilities.
First, when we went into the main product booth, we found the ATEM MINI that many other visitors were also looking forward to seeing.

ATEM MINI is compact, switchable video switcher for personal use. It is very lightweight. Surprisingly there are four HDMI inputs, though they are small, and there is no delay when switching selectors.
There wass also a studio where you could actually enjoy the popular POCKET CINEMA CAMERA, and check the actual shooting screen! We were able to experience virtual video shooting.

Most products such as converters, monitors, recorders, and so on were on display and were the highlight of the show. In addition, there were talks and demonstrations, introducing examples of works created using DaVinci Resolve 16.1 and the POCKET CINEMA CAMERA 4K / 6K by active video creators. I could have spent an entire day here alone.
Another highlight was the DaVinci Resolve training booth.

DaVinci Resolve certified trainers held classes covering all aspects of DaVinci Resolve.
It was a great opportunity to attend lectures while DaVinci Resolve is actually running, and reservations for the lectures were flooding over.
It was impressive that there were many visitors even outside the booth.
Next we visited the ROLAND booth where they had released a new product. the VR-50HD MK II.

The new VR-50HD MK II.

The latest version of the R-50HD”VR-50HD MK II”, which was developed in response to the voice of users who had used ROLAND video equipment (especially VR-50HD). By simply connecting the unit to a computer, you can get the reliable Roland sound quality, and the audio mixer includes mute and solo buttons.
Is should be noted that it has a high quality audio preamplifier and A / D converter, so it is really clear.
Interestingly they were also exhibiting the ”VR-50HD MK II” with the AJA Video Systems / HELO recorder.
This combination was also on display at the AJA booth.
As the traditional ROLAND collaborates with the latest products from these new brands, you can feel the potential of the future of video equipment.

Also attracting attention at the venue was the ultra-high-end AV mixer V-600UHD.

This makes it possible to gradually adapt the conventional HD environment to 4K. Roland's proprietary ULTRA SCALER is mounted on all input and output terminals, allowing simultaneous handling of full HD and 4K different images. It allows for output of 4K and HD video simultaneously, so it is possible to capture 4K video in a conventional HD workflow. This may seem like a mixer’s dream, but now it's time to use 4K for direct productions like live events and presentations. I think this will become the standard for 2020! !
And then, to AJA Video Systems booth.

With increasing interest in rugged enclosures and high-performance image quality, AJA Video Systems has been the buzz of converters to watch for. It was the new recorder/player equipment that caught my eye.

Visitors seemed to be very interested in Ki Pro Go. Having won a Product of the Year award at the NAB show, it can simultaneously record up to four channels of HD or SD video on any commercially available USB drive using redundant recording.
And we also have to note the HELO recorder.
It was also exhibited with the VR-50HD MK II
This is a stand-alone model that allows for H.264 recording and streaming.

It is portable and can be used straight out of the box, and supports SDI and HDMI I / O. It also has CDN (Content Distribution Network) capabilities. It can encode and record at the same time as a high-quality H.264 file on an SD card or USB memory stick. It should also be noted that long-established, state-of-the-art video equipment manufacturers are now cooperating with each other to propose sample cases to actively support creators. I hope to see more of these booths next time.
There are also still many manufacturers and products that we would like to introduce, but we will continue in PART2 next time.
In recent years, interest in video creation has been growing at “NAB” and “Inter BEE,” sacred places for sounds and images created by products that can be viewed and touched. See you next time in PART 2! !
