The Masafumi “Toddy” Todaka Seed TD-SG model is now available!

Once again, I have a new product to recommend from Kubocchi san of Sago, and I would like to introduce you to a new product! This new product is the Kenshi Todaka signature model who is the guitarist of Art School and MONOEYES!
What's that? I have already introduced this in my previous blog, and Sound House has been carrying this model for a while...? I'm sure there are some of you out there who have wondered about that...? Actually, I thought so too when I heard about it from Kubocchi. It’s true that I already have Toddy’s model, but this time it is not under the Sago brand, but under the Seed label at a very affordable price!

Here is the model that was released last time.

Sago / Toddy SG Pelham Blue

The Todaka guitar is a handmade guitar made by Sago New Material Guitars, which is from their top-tier brand, Sago. However, because each guitar is handmade, it takes more than 4 months to make, so it is a little bit expensive.

However, because they are handmade, they take more than four months to make, so they are a bit of a luxury item!
By mass-producing the product at an overseas factory, they succeeded in reducing the costs to less than 100,000 yen. It is not only cheaper, but also has many of the same signature attributes as Sago.

The first thing that catches the eye is the beautiful Pelham blue. At Masafumi Todaka’s request, the finish has a yellowish hue that becomes more prominent over time. It is an exquisite coloring that looks both blue and green depending on the angle.

Another item is the vibe-roller. When a customer ordered a vibe-roller from Sago, he said that he liked the look of the vibe-roller but was concerned about the instability of the tuning, making it difficult to use on stage, so he installed it as a dummy. The Seed guitar is also equipped with a dummy vibe-roller, just like the Sago guitar.

The bridge has a stop tailpiece, so tuning stability is clear. Not only in appearance, but also because of its thinness, the SG was a guitar with a light body and head drop was a concern, but thanks to the vibe-roller, the body side is a little heavier and the head drop is reduced.
The pickups are L(x)Lite series that are Sago's original creations.

And what's more, each certificate comes with a handwritten signature. And...! The first batch of this year's edition also comes with a set of five original picks, which are not for sale anywhere! This set is too attractive for Todaka’s fans.
When the guitar picks come in, Todaka actually visits Sago's workshop to inspect each one himself! There is nothing but peace of mind in knowing that the quality of the guitar will be approved by a professional guitarist!
