  We are pleased to announce the launch of the ReedGeek Sanborn Signature Reed in Japan.
  
  Designed for alto saxophone, this reed was developed by ReedGeek founder Mauro Di Gioia, drawing on his many years of experience adjusting reeds for David Sanborn. It was created in pursuit of Sanborn’s refined expression and unmistakable sound, delivering clarity and stability across the full range of the instrument—from delicate phrases to powerful performances.
  
  Following Sanborn’s passing, his dedication to sound and artistic vision have continued to be preserved by the Sanborn family and Mauro Di Gioia. The Sanborn Signature Reed embodies their longstanding pursuit of his sound and the musical spirit he left behind.
  
  Features of the Sanborn Signature Reed
  
  The reed responds the instant air is applied. With minimal resistance, notes speak smoothly and the player’s breath and nuances are translated naturally into sound. Even with a relaxed approach, it produces a full, clear tone with warmth and depth.
  
  It is designed to bring out the defining qualities of David Sanborn’s sound, including its power, clarity and subtle expressiveness. ReedGeek’s meticulous design also minimizes variation between individual reeds, providing a consistently reliable playing experience.
  
  The reed retains the strength profile of the reeds Sanborn used for many years, while offering greater balance, control and tonal flexibility.
  
  Three strengths are available: Sanborn MS (approximately 2–2.5), Sanborn M (approximately 2.5–3) and Sanborn MH (approximately 3–3.5). Each strength delivers consistent tone and response throughout the instrument’s range.

• Field Report: QSC L-Class Put to the Test in a 1,100-Seat Hall

  

  2026/08/13

  QSC’s L-Class line array system (LA108/LS118) was deployed for a 2.5D stage production at Yurakucho Yomiuri Hall, a venue with approximately 1,100 seats. For this project, stage sound engineer Masaki Saito used the L-Class system in an actual performance and provided us with a detailed report on its sound quality, performance, and ease of setup.
  Saito commented, “The sound reached all the way to the rear of the second-floor seating area, while dialogue remained clear and intelligible.” He also praised the system from an operational standpoint, highlighting its straightforward design and ease of setup, the space-saving benefits of its powered configuration, and convenient system control using SysNavi.
  This field report provides valuable insight into the real-world performance and capabilities of the L-Class system in a stage production at a venue with around 1,000 seats.
