  We have started to offer the Shakuhachi set "Gen" 1 shaku six sun tube supervised by Daisuke Kaminaga of the Japanese Instrument Band. One shaku six sun tube is lighter and shorter than one shaku eight sun tube, which makes it easier to breathe and is ideal for beginners and female players. Haru no Umi," a well-known piece of background music for New Year's Day, is played on this one shaku 6-sun pipe. The set includes a semi-hard case and care tools and is recommended for those who want to start playing the Shakuhachi! Please consider it.

  We have started to handle the collaboration model shakuhachi set of Daisuke Kaminaga of the Japanese instrument band Wagakushi Band and Zen-On. This model is more accessible to play with and handle than the conventional plastic shakuhachi. This shakuhachi set includes a semi-hard case, dew threads necessary for maintenance, and grease, and we recommend it for beginners. Please consider it.

  ■Chiku-yu 「Shakuhachi Tozan-ryu 1 shaku 8 sun」
  
  We are now selling shakuhachi made from carefully-selected Japanese bamboo, and the Tozan-ryu, 1 shaku 8 sun (about 54.5cm) bamboo shakuhachi. The shape of the Utaguchi (mouth piece) is in the Tozan style shape. The embouchure and tonguing of each note is well tuned, and it only can play in Sankyoku, Minyou, and Honkyoku ensembles, but this shakuhachi can even play in pop music ensembles, too. The bamboo pattern is the main feature of the Chiku-yu Bamboo Shakuhachi’s good looks!

  We've started handling non-slip rubber sleeves for shamisen Bachi. Not only do they prevent slippage due to sweat for longer periods of time, but they also round off and soften the corners of the Bachi. They can be used with various sizes of Bachi including Tsugaru, Nagauta, and Jiuta-Minyou, and are available in two colors, brown and transparent. They're recommended not only for concerts, but also for long practices.

  We've started handling Bamboo Gionbue, which produce the sounds of birds and insects. The lineup of various whistles from animal voices including "Cuckoo", "Uguisu" and "Horse" to other sounds such as "Trumpet" and "Steam train whistle". They can be used for a variety of situations including sound effects for Recitals, picture-story shows, Theater, and so on. It's easy to produce the sounds, so it's recommended for those who are taking up an instrument for the first time, as well as for small children.
