On March 29, 2025, the Sound House Onagawa Children's Music School held its recital at the Onagawa Machinaka Exchange Center.

Now in its third year, this event featured 23 classes of students ranging from preschoolers to second-year junior high school students—a significant increase from the 9 groups last year. Many of the children who have visited the showroom become interested in instruments end up enrolling in the school. It’s truly heartwarming!

Despite the sudden drop in temperature and unexpected snowfall on the day of the event, the venue was filled with supportive family members and friends who came to cheer the performers on!

Some of the students looked nervous and fidgety at their very first recital, but when it came time to perform, they confidently delivered their pieces. After each performance, warm applause filled the venue.

The performances included not just piano, but also bass, drums, singing, and even sign language. Some students performed in band-style groups with their fathers or grandfathers!

Though the recital lasted a little over two hours, the children listened attentively to each other’s performances and stayed engaged and cheerful until the end.

The instructors also gave a fantastic performance!
The Onagawa Showroom Music School is always accepting new students. Trial lessons are also available, so feel free to stop by and check our school out♪
