Have you heard of Victory Amps?
Many of you in Japan might not be familiar with them yet.
However, their quality is undeniable!
In this article, I will introduce three notable series from Victory Amps based on my personal preference and opinion.
1. The Jack
Victory Amps was founded in the UK in 2013.
The brand started with the creation of The Jack, designed as a touring amp for guitarist Guthrie Govan.

Watching Guthrie’s performance in the video above, you can see how this amp plays a crucial role in supporting his technical and delicate sound.
The Jack offers a wide range of sounds, from crunch to heavy distortion.
Additionally, The Jack is available as a pedal preamp and power amp.

The preamp can be connected to a power amp or powered speakers, or directly to the input of a combo amp using the Amp Through Mode, allowing you to utilize The Jack’s sound in various setups.
Moreover, Victory Amps also offers effects pedals, enabling you to experience The Jack’s sound through different mediums.
2. RK Series
When it comes to Victory Amps, many think of Richie Kotzen, who has also been active in Mr. Big.

Victory Amps offers the RK50, a signature model.
Compared to other series, it features a simple single-channel design.
The wide range of distortion makes it an excellent amp for guitarists who adjust distortion using the guitar’s volume control.
For those who find volume control on the guitar challenging, it includes a foot-switchable boost, allowing for easy volume adjustments with foot operation.
The stark white casing is highly distinctive.
There’s also a matching cabinet for this head, making it a great set to use together!
There’s also a combo version of the RK50 available.
Its stylish and cool design makes it a perfect addition to any room.
3. Sheriff Series
Personally, my favorite is the Sheriff Series!
Victory Amps / VS100 Super Sheriff Head
With its 100W high-output lineup, you can experience a powerful rock sound.
It features two types of gain modes: The Vintage Gain channel is switchable between clean and crunch, making it ideal for classic rock from the '60s to '70s, and the Hot Rod Gain channel is perfect for hard rock from the '70s to '80s and even high-gain sounds like '90s metal.
Truly a treasure trove of distortion!
Victory Amps / Sheriff 25 Head
The 25W model, compact in a lunchbox size, is also available. Since I often play genres like blues and funk, I find this more manageable and prefer it.
It pairs nicely with a cabinet around the size of the V112.
The clean tone is crisp, and it feels great to use with 16-beat muted strumming or with the gain dialed back to a level that distorts slightly when you pick strongly.
This amp is also a standout in live events at Sound House.
How was that?
This time, I introduced three amp series from Victory Amps, but there are also other series like the Duchess Series, known for its vintage American sound, the Copper Series, featuring British old-school sound, and the Kraken Series, boasting high-gain perfect for 7-string guitars.
