Any Issues? - Frequently Asked Questions About JBL PA Powered Speakers

Among JBL’s popular PA speakers, the powered models like the EON700 Series, PRX900 Series, EON ONE Compact, EON ONE Mk2, and PRX ONE have received common inquiries. Here are some frequently asked questions and their solutions:

01 No Sound from the Speaker

→Are both the GAIN and MAIN volumes for a channel turned up?

If either is set to zero, no sound will come out. Make sure both are turned up.

→Is the mute function on the connected channel or main set to ON?

If the mute is ON, no sound will come out. Turn off the mute. You can switch this on the app by pressing the speaker icon or on the speaker panel by pressing and holding the knob.

02 No Sound from the Speaker - Part 2

→Try resetting the speaker *If there are no issues with the connected devices and cables.

EON ONE Compact:

1. With the speaker powered on, press and hold the DUCK and PHANTOM buttons until all four LEDs on CH1-4 flash.

2. Once the flashing stops, the unit will restart.

For other models:

1. Go to Main Menu → Settings → Factory Reset

03 Low Sound from THRU Output

→Is the LEVEL of the MIX OUT from the source properly set?

→If the signal level from the THRU output is low and the connected speaker’s volume is also low, try increasing the GAIN setting on the receiving channel.

The default is 0dB, which is usually fine, but you can adjust it slightly if needed.

*It is recommended to use a daisy-chain connection with no more than three JBL powered speakers.

04 Bluetooth pairing is done but no music playback on EON ONE Compact / EON ONE Mk2

→Is Bluetooth audio pairing set up?

For EON ONE Compact, Bluetooth pairing includes both ①JBL Pro Connect and ②music playback.

05 Unable to adjust GAIN and other parameters on the EON ONE Mk2 PRX ONE

→You can not only adjust levels by turning knobs but also select and confirm by pressing them.

For example, to adjust CH2 GAIN on the EON ONE Mk2:

1. Press the knob located above CH2 (under BASS) to enter the parameter setting mode for CH2.
2. Turn the GAIN knob to adjust the GAIN.

06 EON ONE Mk2 power isn’t turned on

→Did you insert the spacer with the battery first?

There are two types of spacers: ①one with a battery and ②one without. The order of insertion matters.

07 Unable to control with JBL Pro Connect

→Is the firmware up to date?

If not, the JBL Pro Connect app will show a red i mark, and you won’t be able to control it until the firmware is updated to the latest version.

Update Procedure:

1. Open the JBL Pro Connect app.
2. After pairing the speaker, tap ‘More’.
3. Tap ‘Firmware Update’ to proceed with the update.
4. The speaker will restart automatically upon completion.

08 LED indicators show unlisted patterns or not functioning properly

→For “not functioning properly”, various issues could be occurring. The basic steps are to try a reset and update the firmware. If these do not resolve the issue, there may be a hardware malfunction. Please contact our support in that case.
