I tried the rumored JOYO BanTamP series! Part 2

The BanTamP series 20W head amps are sold by the Chinese musical instrument manufacturer JOYO.
This is a full-fledged tube amp at a very affordable price point.
The sound is excellent and has both Bluetooth and headphone jacks, and can be used for a wide range of purposes from home practice to live performances.

I introduced the BanTamP series amps in our previous article, but only half of them were introduced in the previous article.
In this article, I will introduce the remaining relatively high-gain amps.

Meteor Ⅱ

I’m going to introduce the Metere II first.
The sound of this amp is similar to the Orange, and it is characterized by its fine distortion.
The distortion is not too harsh, but it’s still distorted to a certain degree, so I personally felt that it is suitable for fusion.
I wonder if it is associated with the same roundness as the orange and meteorite (lol).

Jackman Ⅱ

The red design of the Jackman II is impressive!
The sound is something that guitarists will recognize the moment they hear it.
The name "Jackman" is a parody of another famous name that you can recognize by taking a closer look at the logo.

If you look closely, you can see that the letters J, C, and M have different colors.
If you are a guitarist, you may be able to notice that the brand name starts with "M," which is representative of guitar amps.
When you actually plug in a guitar and turn up the gain, you get quite a lively rock sound!
You can create a wide range of sounds in the rock genre, from punk to hard rock.
It is truly a classic!
I think this amp has the easiest to understand tone quality among the series.

Firebrand

This FireBrand is recommended for those who are looking for a stronger drive sound than the Jackman introduced above!
The Fireball is likely modeled after the ENGL Fireball.
It’s a relatively unfamiliar part of guitar amps, but after listening to the demo video above, you may find that this is the kind of distortion that you’ll want.
For the rock-oriented anime song sound of today, many people want a sound somewhere between the Marshall and MESA BOOGIE series, and I recommend this amp for those who are looking for such a sound.

Zombie Ⅱ

The Zombie II is my favorite high-gain type amp.
The sound is just like the MESA BOOGIE that everyone loves.
Of course it has distortion, but what is most notable is the clean sound!
There are many amps and pedals that sound like distortion, but it is rare to find an amp with a clean tone, so I was surprised by the Zombie II!
The arpeggios played during the quiet moments within intense music genres like metal create a sound that suits this genre well.

Badass

The previous amps I mentioned are guitar amps, but this last amp is a bass amp named Badass.
This is the only amp in this series with 50 watts, so care must be taken when selecting a cabinet.
The Bantcab is considered a dedicated cabinet for the BanTamP series and can go up to an input of 20 watts. So, when using the Badass, use another cabinet that allows up to 50 watts.
The sound color is easy to slap AMPEG-style, and seems to work well with active bass.
