We receive many inquiries about karaoke amplifiers and HDMI connections, so this time I’ll provide a detailed explanation.
Using the KOK700 karaoke amplifier from CLASSIC PRO, known for its simple design and ease of use for beginners, I’ll walk through the process.
CLASSIC PRO / KOK700 Karaoke Amplifier
What is a karaoke amplifier?
A karaoke amplifier is a device that, in addition to the functions of a regular power amplifier, includes features such as vocal effects and key changes.
Is connecting a karaoke amplifier easy?
Yes, with the KOK700, even beginners can connect it easily!
There are two connection patterns.
1. Using only an HDMI cable (if the output device only has HDMI output)
Connect the HDMI output from a DVD player or other device to the HDMI IN port (squared in yellow) on the KOK700. Then, connect the HDMI OUT port to your TV.
The HDMI cable can transmit both video and audio signals.
The video signal input to the KOK700 will be output from the HDMI OUT, so connect it to a monitor or TV.

2. Inputting audio from devices like a CD player

Use the red and white AUX1 and AUX2 input terminals on the back.

Connect your audio output device to the terminals shown in Diagram ①
*Examples of compatible audio output devices:
- - Cassette deck
- - CD/DVD player
- - Computer
- - Smartphone (iPhone requires a Lightning adapter)
- - Nintendo Switch
If your audio output device only has a stereo mini headphone jack and not red and white terminals as shown in Diagram ①, you can connect using a Y cable like the CLASSIC PRO CMR222.
Connect passive speakers to the terminals shown in Diagram ②.
The audio signal input to the KOK700 is amplified by the built-in power amplifier and transmitted to the speakers.
Note: Do not connect powered speakers or studio monitor speakers, as they already have built-in power amplifiers!
Once you’ve connected your audio output device, the KOK700, and the speakers, it’s time to configure the main unit.
Press the input button on the front of the KOK700 to select the AUX input terminal you connected.

Connect a microphone to the MIC IN on the front and turn up the MUSIC VOLUME and MIC VOLUME knobs.
Turn the AUX knob on the back to the right.

You’re now ready to start! Just play your favorite songs and enjoy karaoke!
Recording Your Singing
The REC OUT on the KOK700 outputs a mix of microphone input and AUX input audio, allowing you to record both your singing and the background music.

Connect the REC OUT terminal to a recorder or other device and press the record button for easy recording!
The REC OUT terminal can also be used to add more speakers if the volume is insufficient.
That’s all for the guide on the connection and setup of the KOK700.
