This time, I’m introducing how to enjoy karaoke at home!
I’ll show you how to set up a karaoke amp and speakers, recommend some wireless microphones, and share other essential karaoke items!
For home karaoke, you don’t need the kind of karaoke amps installed in commercial karaoke places. You can create an environment to sing to your heart’s content at an affordable price!
① First, get a karaoke amp
My top recommendation for a karaoke amp is this one:
This karaoke amp is from the well-known audio equipment manufacturer JBL.
It boasts a stylish look and delivers clear and powerful sound!
Another attractive feature is its wide range of input terminals. It supports CD players, DVD players, HDMI, USB, Optical, and even Bluetooth.
By using Bluetooth on your smartphone, you can play your subscribed music and start your home karaoke session in no time!
② Next, get a speaker
For speakers, I recommend these JBL products:
JBL / MK08-PAK Karaoke Speakers Pair
These speakers are specifically designed for karaoke, characterized by their high power and low distortion sound! They offer a well-balanced low and high range, making them perfect for comfortably singing along to karaoke tracks.
If you’re looking to lower your budget for speakers, I recommend this:
CLASSIC PRO / CSP8 PA Speakers
These 8-inch speakers provide transparent and rich sound quality, allowing you to enjoy karaoke. They reproduce mid and high frequencies clearly, making vocal ranges easy to hear.
③ Get cables to connect the karaoke amp and speaker
The recommended cables to use with the JBL MK08-PAK karaoke speakers pair are:
Canare / 4S6 Standard Speaker Cable (sold by the meter)
Strip the insulation from the cable and connect it to the ‘SPEAKER OUT’ on the back of the karaoke amp and the binding post connector on the back of the speaker.

MK08-PAK (back): Binding post connectors
For connecting CLASSIC PRO SP8 and JBL BEYOND1, use the following cable:
Note: This cable has Speakon connectors on both ends, but since the JBL BEYOND1 does not have Speakon output terminals, you’ll need to remove one Speakon connector and use the bare wire.
④ Get a wireless microphone
Karaoke wouldn’t be complete without a wireless microphone!
Here’s my recommendation:
CLASSIC PRO / CWR242 Handheld Dual Set Wireless Microphone Set
This set features rechargeable wireless microphones with a battery charger, so you don’t have to worry about replacing batteries. It’s so convenient!
If you prefer a wired microphone, I recommend:
Shure / SM58S Standard Dynamic Microphone
The SM58 is a classic, widely used from beginners to professional settings. If you’re unsure which microphone to buy, this is a great choice!
The microphone connector is an XLR (also called Canon) type.

Since the input terminal on the BEYOND1 is a phone jack, you’ll need the following cable to connect it to a wired microphone:
With these products, you’re ready to enjoy karaoke at home!
Now, just sing your heart out and have a great time with karaoke.
Thank you for reading to the end!
