This time I have some uninterruptible power supply (UPS) device troubleshooting cases that I have prepared to share with all of you.

So, I am going to answer some questions you might have regarding issues with UPS in a Q&A format!

Case 1: Why does the alert keep ringing on my UPS device?
Case 2: The battery on my UPS device is 100% charged, but why is the backup time extremely short?
Case 3: Why does the power turn off as soon as the equipment is connected to the UPS device?
Case 1
Question: Why does the alert keep ringing on my UPS device?

Did the power properly charge your UPS device?
If the input voltage is unstable, then the UPS device may recognize that the power supply has stopped. The device may then automatically shift to backup mode.
Case 2
Question: The battery on my UPS device is 100% charged, but why is the backup time extremely short?

The battery life on our Classic Pro UPS devices lasts up to 1 year to 1.5 years. If the ambient temperature is high, the battery life will be shorter, so the battery must be checked and replaced earlier than usual.
In this case, the battery capacity may have decreased due to the battery life.
Even if the battery is fully charged and the screen is displaying at 100% charge, unfortunately the battery’s lifespan is coming to an end and the battery is no longer able to perform at full capacity.
Please replace the UPS battery first and check if it properly works.
*Precautions when replacing the battery
In rare cases, the electrolyte in the battery may leak depending on the condition of the battery.
If the electrolyte leaks out, do not touch it with your bare skin. We recommend wearing rubber gloves also in order to prevent electric shock when replacing the battery.
Check out this video to learn how to replace the battery.
This list shows the backup time of our Classic Pro UPS devices (when the batteries are operational and fully charged).
Please refer to this list to check the backup time.

Case 3
Question: Why does the power turn off as soon as the equipment is connected to the UPS device?

The UPS device has an output power capacity limit.
In particular, in the case of equipment that requires a temporary large current, you have to be careful as it may exceed the instantaneous output power capacity limit of your UPS device.
If your UPS operates properly with other equipment (different amount of load), the problem is likely due to the inrush current of the connected device (load) causing momentary capacity overload.
Also, be careful not to connect the following devices:
- Mobile air conditioner
- Vacuum cleaner
- Hairdryer
- Fan, air circulator
etc.
This time, I shared some frequently asked questions about the UPS device.
The UPS device can be a very useful item in the event of a power outage.
However, it has to be regularly maintained and checked for proper function.
When installing the UPS device, please keep it in a place where you can keep an eye on it frequently. Proper maintenance will keep your UPS device running so that you can safely backup and protect your valuable equipment and data without worry!
If you have not maintained your UPS device, please consider checking it frequently from now on.
