Some fog machines and bubble machines come with a wireless remote control.

I received an inquiry that the wireless remote control had stopped working. Upon receiving the machine and investigating the cause, I found that it was due to the batteries running out.
However, it is a little different from the TV remote control where you can remove the back cover and replace the AAA batteries with a single touch.

The process itself is not difficult and anyone can easily replace the battery if they follow these instructions.
In this issue, I will explain how to do this.

01. Check the issues

The left side is the remote control receiver and the right side is the wireless remote control.
When the button on the wireless remote control is pressed, the LED on the remote control lights up, but if the batteries are low, the LED light is weak or it doesn’t light up at all.

02. Disassembling the wireless remote control

When you turn the wireless remote control over, there is one screw that stays in place, and you can open the cover by removing this screw. The problem is the size of the screw, which is quite small; you will need a screwdriver with the number PH0. If you have a set of precision screwdrivers, they are almost certainly included in the set.

03. Replacing the battery

Remove the screws and open the cover.

Remove the battery and replace it while making sure to replace the positive and negative batteries correctly. Then close the cover in the reverse order to complete the process.

04. Battery type

So far, none of these steps are particularly difficult.
One problem is the type of batteries. AA and AAA batteries are easy to find and easy to use, but the batteries used in the wireless remote control are the 23A standard. They are small and output 12V. They have limited use, so you will not see them very often.

The same standard battery may have a different product name.

23A / LR23A / 23AE / A23 / A23S / L1028

These product names are interchangeable, so please refer to them when looking for batteries.

This is how to replace the batteries for fog machine and bubble machine remote controls.
