So, what’s today’s theme?
Uni...
Hm?
Un...
Hm? What? You are a bit... weird today.
UNIFY!
Wait...do you mean ‘unify’?
Yes, that’s it!
What are you unifying? Japan!?
Nope, brand!
Brand?
So recently, I played a guitar from a certain brand with a pick from the same brand, and it just felt... right.
Really?
Yeah, got me thinking. I mean, they probably test their picks on their own guitars during development, right?
Well, yeah... I suppose that makes sense. Why test on another brand’s guitar?
Exactly! So, it must go for their strings, cables, amps, and all that too, right?
Logically speaking... probably.
Which led me to think, what if I got all my gear and accessories from just one brand?!
I mean, you’d certainly be closer to the brand’s intended sound.
Alright, let’s give it a shot!
Good! Lately, your intros have been getting shorter! So, which brand are we going with?
Hehehe. Naturally, we’re starting with the electric guitar pioneer: Fender!
Figured. Fender has just about everything for electric guitars.
First up: the ax!
Of course, start there.
I selected the guitar
Yeah.
and tapped on Fender,
Uh-huh.
and here it is – my beloved Jazzmaster with a hard case!
Fender / American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster RW Dakota Red
A Jazzmaster, not a Strat or Tele. Very you.
Compliment received!
That wasn’t quite a compliment...
Next up: the strings!
Fender / Super Bullets 3250 Regular
Most strings have a ball end, but not these?
Right! These are bullet ends!
Bullet? Interesting. Says they “enhance tuning stability.” Do they make bass strings like this too?
Now, for the pick!
Fender / Dura-Tone 346 Shape .96 Fiesta Red
Nice and affordable.
We may want to say, “Look, I’m a Fender owner!” by having a cheap item like a pick lol.
Technically true... Fender picks have been around for a long time and are a staple, but I may not have used them much. But at Sound House, Fender picks are sold at about half the price of other picks... should I try this one?
I chose a guitar in Dakota Red, so I wanted the pick to match.
Color-matching as always, huh? Been like that forever.
That’s me! Though this pick is Fiesta Red, a classic Fender color – close enough!
It’s a nice color. I associate it with Gary Moore for some reason.
Next: cables!
Fender / Original Series Instrument Cable S/S 4.5m Fiesta Red
Fiesta Red again! Matching even here!? You’ll need another cable if you’re using pedals.
Touché! So, I got this one too!
Fender / Deluxe Coil Cable 30' TWD
A coil cable in tweed? You do love tweed!
Tweed’s very Fender, right?
Absolutely. Not my favorite for manageability, but definitely a classic look.
True, you’ve always said that. Coil cables also have that classic Fender vibe. Fender even makes pedals now, and I chose this striking red one!
Fender / Santa Ana Overdrive Pedal
Santa Ana, not Santana – and more red? You’re all in, I see!
As for the amp!
Fender / '68 Custom Twin Reverb
The classic Twin Reverb! But this isn’t red...
No... but it’s got that sleek silverface, and apparently, it has a “Custom” channel based on the ’59 Bassman sound. Amazing, right?
I get it! The Twin Reverb is a long-time staple. That amp has a sound that only it can deliver.
Totally. Now for a tuner!
Fender / Bullet Tuner
A clip-on tuner – also in bullet shape!
Matching the string ends!
Who’s even going to notice!? Think it’s a Fender trend now? Bullet-shaped everything? So is that it?
Just one last thing!
Fender / Tool Kit by CruzTools
A tool kit!?
Yeah, the case even has the Fender logo. It’s intense!
A tool kit is essential. Good pick.
Oh! Almost forgot a strap! This one!
Fender / Fender 2" Monogrammed Strap, Black/Yellow/Brown
Classic monogram. You see it everywhere, with a Fender ax or not.
Fender owner, right here.
Yes, yes!
And lastly – this too!
Fender / Fender Infinity Locks, Red
Ah, strap locks! Super important – and red again!
That should do it!
All done?
Moving on –
Moving on!?
Well, if any brand could match that level of coordination, it’s PLAYTECH.
They certainly might. They’re known for their comprehensive selection and great value!
Promising indeed!
Alright, starting with the guitar?
Exactly! Here’s the model I actually used!
PLAYTECH / FV430 PINK
There it is! The pink V!
Next up –
PLAYTECH / EGS1046 3SET
Strings here. Three sets for that price?
Value champion.
No kidding. String prices are really rising these days... We are all in trouble...
Next!
PLAYTECH / Nylon Strap Black
A strap. Simple design, no metals used, which means it’s easy on the guitar – nice.
Yeah!
PLAYTECH / Sound House Triangle Pick 0.7mm
30 yen!? Even cheaper than those Fender picks.
Champion of unbeatable value.
PLAYTECH / Jammer Jr. Guitar Amp
Good practice amp, with a headphone jack.
A clip tuner. The reviews are quite good.
Yeah, I actually borrowed this PLAYTECH clip tuner at a studio recently. Super easy to use! Oh, and one more!
PLAYTECH / GS1RD
A guitar stand! It’s something easy to forget, but definitely important.
Oh!
Oh?
Amp set!
PLAYTECH / Guitar Amp Set
With a cable, a pick, a stand, and a tuner. This kit includes almost everything! Perfect for beginners.
So, all in all?
Well done. With the guitar, amp set, strings...That’ll be 25,670 yen, including tax.
No way!
Totally true. Tax included.
Mind-blowing!
This price is the champion!
It’s like a dream because everything?
Is for love!
