Finally, the five compact effect pedals from Playtech have been released. This lineup is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of players, from students and beginners who are not yet familiar with effect pedals to effect pedal enthusiasts!
In this blog article, I've tried playing with each of the five models to see how they sound, and I've summarized their appeal and features. I hope you find this useful when choosing an effect pedal.
Playtech / Leo Drive Overdrive
This is a reasonably priced overdrive pedal that is very useful for practical use. I think one of its main features is that it has two band EQs for treble and bass. These two work well together, and you can create a very wide range of character. If you set the treble to a high level, you can create a clear and refreshing distortion, and you can enjoy a very pleasant distortion! It is a reliable pedal that can be used for all genres!
Playtech / Taurus Distortion Distortion
This simple three knobs distortion pedal lets you create a wide range of sounds, from a crunchy distortion to a full-fledged metal sound. The tone is very effective, and you can create a dirty sound by setting it low, or a bright, crisp distortion by setting it high. It's easy to use and you can create great distortion sounds, so I can confidently recommend it to anyone who is looking for their first distortion pedal!
Playtech / Scorpio Fuzz Fuzz
This is a fuzz pedal with a very simple design and three knobs. If you turn up the SUSTAIN knob, you can enjoy a crunchy fuzz tone, but if you turn it down, you can create a distortion that is just right, like a well-rounded distortion. It's perfect for creating a thick fuzz sound, but it's also great for using as a light distortion with a distortion-like sound!
The light pink color is also quite unique! I think it's a deep and profound pedal that you'll grow to love more and more as you use it!
Playtech / Aquarius Chorus Chorus
This is a unit with a classic chorus sound. It can produce high-quality modulation, from a light and refreshing chorus to a psychedelic and dark atmosphere. No matter what settings you use, you can get a beautiful chorus sound! You can use it to create a wide range of sounds, from a solid, eye-catching sound to a light, refreshing chorus sound.
It is a reliable unit that will suit a wide range of players, from beginners to advanced users.
Playtech / Gemini Reverb Delay
I have the impression that this is an extremely high-quality pedal that can handle spatial sound effects well on its own! It has a dual footswitch design that integrates reverb and delay into one unit, with the three right-hand knobs controlling the delay and the three left-hand knobs controlling the reverb. First of all, the sound is warm and very easy to use. By adjusting the MIX and LEVEL knobs, you can set a wide range of character, from clear sounds to deep ambient sounds.
Also, I personally found the PRE DELAY knob on the reverb side to be interesting. This knob allows you to set the time until the reverb is output. It is a very useful function for fine-tuning within an ensemble, and is a feature that will be very welcome for band musicians.
Despite its simple design, it is a reassuring unit for practical use.

Finally, I put together an effects board using these five Playtech effectors! Isn't it amazing how colorful it is and how it gets you excited?
I also included the CENTAVO from Warm Audio, which I recently bought. It's a so-called Kenta-style overdrive in Japanese, but I really like it! Using it makes the sound mature all at once, or rather, it gives it a high-quality, powerful sound. I've come to love Warm Audio. The tuner is the reliable Polytune 3. And I also carry the Spark mini with me for when I suddenly feel like turning up the volume, so I've got a really solid setup!
Please check it out with the Playtech effectors.
