On June 8th, just two days after the birthday of His Majesty Damian Hamada, I attended D.H.C.’s Makai Pilgrimage at Zepp Shinjuku!
D.H.C. (Damian Hamada’s Creatures) was formed as His Majesty Damian Hamada reappeared in the human world to further solidify the demonic brainwashing achieved by Seikima-II on humanity. Five chosen ones were brainwashed and transformed into ‘modified humans’, who serve as his minions and perform as a heavy metal band.
The band members, altered to surpass human abilities, perform the numerous songs created by His Majesty Damian Hamada to his ideal quality.
If you are unfamiliar with His Majesty Damian Hamada, check out the teaser below!
After the first generation of D.H.C., the current lineup includes Ciel Ishadow (vocals), RENO Faust (guitar), Axe KAZUMA (guitar), Lilith Ichinose (bass), and KAZAMI Crowley (drums).
The stage before the start was filled with anticipation as the believers eagerly awaited the appearance of D.H.C.

After a shadow announcement (or pre-show speech?) by Ciel Ishadow, D.H.C. took the stage.
They kicked off with “Shimpan no Hi”, the first song from the first major scripture of the second generation, Saigo no Shimpan. The solid riffs and enjoyable drumming immediately sent the crowd’s excitement soaring!
The guitar work of RENO Faust and Axe KAZUMA was sharp, mesmerizing the audience with their finger movements.
Lilith Ichinose’s bass delivered a menacing sound pressure with unwavering picking, exuding tremendous star quality with every move.
Ciel Ishadow’s vocals were powerful yet delicate, standing out prominently among the band.
After the first three songs, the atmosphere on stage suddenly shifted...
His Majesty Damian Hamada, whose birthday had been celebrated two days prior, descended upon us!
The crowd’s excitement heightened, with cries of “His Majesty!” and “Teacher!” erupting.

Then, they launched into the next song! Despite being over 100,060 years old, His Majesty’s performance was both fluid and emotional.
The audience was glued to the stage, not wanting to miss a single moment, which enhanced the sense of unity in the venue.

When the song ended, His Majesty Damian Hamada began speaking (taking over as MC), instantly lightening the mood and filling the venue with laughter.
His many years of experience as a teacher after transforming into human form shone through in his humorous and peaceable talk, enjoyable for all ages, and his playful teasing of the modified humans was highly entertaining.
After His Majesty Damian Hamada showed up, it seemed like there was more talk time than performance, making many fans feel a greater sense of closeness to D.H.C.
The concert was filled with a warm atmosphere until the end, creating a sense of unity between the believers and the band amid the fierce sounds. This must be the miasma of the demon realm.
It was a magnificent experience to witness His Majesty Damian Hamada up close and to be overwhelmed by the ever-stronger D.H.C.
