TAHORNG / EF10WH Electronic Recorder Elefue
This time, we will introduce the electronic recorder, Elefue.
First,
about Elefue
Elefue is an electronic recorder that anyone can easily enjoy playing. It not only features recorder sounds but also includes ten different tones such as saxophone and clarinet. Additionally, these sounds can be played using the same fingering as a soprano recorder.
With its built-in battery and speaker, it allows for cable-free performance, giving you the freedom to play anywhere. It is also equipped with a headphone jack, so you can practice comfortably even at night or in rooms where playing instruments might be problematic. Furthermore, it has Bluetooth wireless MIDI functionality, enabling you to control external sound sources from the Elefue when connected to BLE-MIDI compatible devices.
Let's unbox it!
When I picked it up, I was surprised at how light it was. The main body weighs only about 1 kg! It has a stylish design, but when you hold it, it really feels like a recorder. It reminded me of the recorder I used to play in elementary school (lol).
About the Sound
It includes not only recorder sounds but also the following ten types of sounds:
- Soprano Recorder
- Hulusi (Gourd Flute)
- Tenor Saxophone
- Alto Saxophone
- Soprano Saxophone
- Bamboo Flute
- Flute
- Clarinet
- Trumpet
- Suona
To switch the sound, press the sound setting button and then use the plus and minus setting buttons located just below the LED display.
There are two types of fingerings: recorder type and standard type. A fingering chart is included, so you can play with confidence.
*Accessories include a rechargeable USB cable, a silicone washable mouthpiece, and a cloth carrying bag.
Here is a video of an actual performance:
The song played is "Frog's Chorus"! As you may have noticed from watching the video, Elefue is not button-operated. Instead, the instrument responds and changes sound when you place your fingers on it.
This means you don't need to apply pressure with your fingers, making it truly easy for anyone to play. Each sound captures the characteristics of the respective instruments well, and you can clearly tell the differences. Just like in this performance video, you can easily create an ensemble with various instrument sounds using just one Elefue.
Which sound do you like the most? My favorite is the Suona.
Many other people have also uploaded performance videos.
Be sure to check them out!
