I have been introducing equipment for a while.
It is time to take a break from the equipment. I’m Saq.
In this article, I would like to introduce some useful and secure items that I actually feel good about having in my guitar case, and that I would also like to include if I wanted to.
I also have some items that can be used for bass as well, so bass players are also welcome to take a look.
Kyser / KG6 GOLD
When it comes to capos, Kyser is the one! Kyser is a capo manufacturer that you may have heard of before.
The spring force is just right, and it is good to put on and take off without excessive force.
Above all, there is a wide range of color variations. It might be fun to change it for each live outfit or guitar.
By the way, although all of them except KGEB are sold for acoustic guitars, they can be used on electric guitars without any problem. From what I've heard, KGEB has a weaker spring, so it is easier to chalk, etc. However, only black is available, so I'm torn between color variation or convenience.。
GHS / FAST-FRET String Lubricant
I was very torn between Finger Ease and this one. I chose this one because it can be applied directly to the strings.
Not only does it make the strings glide better, but it also removes dirt from the strings and cleans them at the same time, restoring the sparkle to the sound. It is amazing.
If you apply it every time you play, you can feel safe even with non-coated strings.
I usually use Elixir strings, but when I use GHS uncoated strings, I use them.
Elixir / OPTIWEB Super Light #19002
I just recently switched to an extra light gauge. I don't get tired playing for long periods of time, and it is much easier to play pitch-shaking techniques such as chalking and arming.
They sound 80% as good as non-coated strings, but they maintain that for a long time without deteriorating, and above all, their one and only feel makes them really easy to play. I have no desire to use other strings as my main strings.
I want a little more guts in my wound strings, so I will try Custom Light next time I buy them.
Daddario / Pro Winder/Cutter Guitar Peg Winder
This is seriously good. Two roles per unit is the minimum guarantee. If you play acoustic guitar, it has three functions.
A peg winder, a cutter, and a bridge pin remover are all in one.
Even if you suddenly break a string on the road, you can change the strings smoothly and stress-free with this one unit.
Two of my personal favorite points are that you can insert the pegs into the winder either horizontally or vertically, and the round tip of the cutter prevents damage to the head.
I bought it fairly recently, but seriously, I should have bought it earlier, the day I aspired to take up electric guitar.
You are reading this far. Please put it in your cart and come back again.
Pickboy / H-95 Drykeeper
If you are not sure which dryer to use, this is the one for you! What a great price and comes in a pack of two.
I put it in my gig bag because it gives me some peace of mind, regardless of whether it works or not.
If you can maintain the condition of your precious instrument in good condition with just a little bit of extra care, there is no reason not to buy it.
It is not only for humidity control, but also for rust prevention and deodorizing effect, so it might be a good idea to add them!
Aria / CC500 Navy Blue Cleaning Cloth
This cloth is reasonably priced, yet feels great and is durable.
I wipe the neck and body of my guitar quickly every time I put it away, and this cloth is thick and durable, yet flexible enough to wipe easily.
I try to wash it often, but I don't recommend machine washing it because the dye often bleeds through it. Hand washing is recommended.
By the way, I have three sheets: one for my case, one for home use, and one for finishing when I do maintenance.
It's good to have lots of these.
Ohtsuka Brush Mfg / Puragure 30mm
Suddenly, something that seems to have nothing to do with musical instruments appears on the scene, but it is totally relevant.
I use it as a cleaning product, and it can be used not only around guitar pickups, bridges, and string gaps on the head, but also to remove dust from effect pedals.
The bristles are soft, so of course they won't damage the instrument, and unless you use a lot of force, they won't turn the knobs on the effect pedals.
A clean instrument is a good thing. Let's get excited by a quick and easy cleaning.
TC Electronic / PolyTune Clip Clip Tuner
Finally, I would like to end with an item that I do not have for some reason, but that you should definitely include.
Yes, this is a clip tuner. I am sure you are all familiar with the famous PolyTune, which I don't have to tell you about.
Although the pedal type is popular, a clip type is also available.
High-precision strobe tuning of ±0.02 cents. Simultaneous polyphonic tuning of all strings. Screen that automatically rotates according to the situation. Extremely compact and battery-powered so as not to get in the way.
If you are looking to buy clip tuners, this is the one. Go ahead and add it to your cart.
And the reason why I don't have one is simple.
Because I lose them often and break them often.
I've used about 5 other clip tuners, 2 of which I've destroyed and 3 of which I've lost.
Clip tuners are not suitable for someone like me, so I use pedal tuners. It's very hard for me to tune quickly when I'm waiting for a gig...
This article can be summed up in one phrase: “You can never be too prepared. If you want to change the phrase “I wish I had put it in” to “I'm glad I did,” now is the time to do it. If you can play the guitar more comfortably, you will definitely improve more.
It may be a small detail, but why don't you create a good environment starting from these points?
