This compact lighting console is on the ONYX platform. Everyone should try to set this up while looking at the manual. In this Patch Edition, let’s try to patch fixtures on the NX1.
This time, I will patch the KL PAR FC from Elation and the Dotz Par 100 from American DJ.

So let’s get started!
*Please refer to the manual under “Building a New Patch”.

1. Press the ‘ONYX’ quick menu button in the upper left corner of the main screen to open the Patch screen.

2. To use the Auto Patch tool, press ‘Commands’ in the lower left corner of the screen, then press ‘New fixture...’

3. As shown in the picture below, the menu will take you to the ‘Fixture Library’ screen, where you can select the lighting fixture to be used.

I used the KL PAR FC by Elation.

The library is arranged as follows: manufacturers in the leftmost column, fixture type in the second column, mode in the third column, and DMX protocol readout in the last column.

The screen shows the Elation KL PAR FC is now added.↓

*For this time, the lighting fixture must be set to DMX mode in advance.

4. Once you have selected the correct mode for your needs, press the blue ‘Auto patch’ button in the lower right corner of the window.↓

5. Once in the Auto patch window, set the Amount counter to the total number of selected fixtures you wish to patch, and press ‘Apply to patch’.

6. Check to see if the added fixture is in the Patch window. If it is, you are done!

Elation KL PAR FC is safely in there.↓

The same procedure can be used to add more fixtures in the same patch.
Next, let’s add the Dotz Par 100 by American DJ.

American DJ / Dotz Par 100 LED Par Light

Press the ‘ONYX’ quick menu button to get to the Patch screen↓

↓ and select Dotz Par 100 in the Standard Library.

Set the Amount counter to the total number of selected fixtures you wish to patch, and press ‘Apply to patch’ to complete.

The Dotz Par 100 is safely there with KL PAR FC.

How was it? It is nice when you can set up a lighting controller well.
