  AMPEG, a bass amp brand loved by players around the world, has launched the new "Rocket Bass" series. This 60's-inspired bass combo amp is designed to be used in both home and studio, while maintaining the traditional AMPEG tone. Five models are available according to the power rate; 30W, 50W, 100W, 200W, and 500W, and it is equipped with an AUX IN and headphones out. The newly developed Super Grit Technology (SGT) overdrive circuit reproduces the sound of the "SVT". The 100W, 200W, and 500W models are equipped with an Ultra Lo / Ultra Hi switch that expands the range of sound production, and the 4 models with 50W power rate or more are equipped with an XLR DI out.   Akira Wada, one of Japan's leading guitarists, died on March 28th at the age of 64. Since his debut in 1977 with PRISM, the pioneer of Japanese fusion bands, the artist had been active in joining many band sessions and his own solo projects while leading PRISM. He had been receiving medical treatment since the end of 2018. Rest in peace.
