Takehiko "shake" Kogure leads the Pink Floyd tribute band, Genshi Shinbo . It is still fresh in our minds that late last year they performed an outstanding live show centering on the re-performance of the album " Obscured by Clouds". On June 18, 2023 (Sunday), in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the release of their 1973 masterpiece " The Dark Side of the Moon ", they have announced that they will hold a live event including the re-performance of the album in its entirety. The event is called "THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON 50th ANNIVERSAR: PINK FLOYD TRIPS at Hibiya Park Concert Hall ".
The event will include a reenactment of "Live at Pohnpei" as well as a reenactment of "The Dark Side of the Moon ". Live at Pompeii" is a video work recorded at a no audience live performance at an archaeological site in Pompeii, Italy. It is a work that records Floyd's live performance in the extremely experimental period before the release of " THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON ", and has been valued as a work that allows us to see Floyd's live performance along with the album "Ummagumma".
This is a big event where you will be able to trip to a heavyweight level while being bathed in the sounds of the album " THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON " and the live reproduction of early Floyd in a special space called "Outside hall," which has left behind many great performances that will remain in the history of Japanese rock music. This is a must-see live concert not only for Floyd fans. More details will be announced at a later date on the official website of Genshi Shinbo.
