The PA Beginner’s Ally! A Thorough Comparison of [Simple PA Systems]!

This time, we are going to seriously compare simple PA systems, which I'm fairly excited to talk about. I did my best to write this article, so please read it to the end!
I also lightly touch on sound quality, but this is just my personal opinion (lol).

JBL / EON208P

The EON208P is an integrated, simple PA.
It is designed specifically for portability and installation comfort. The compact design integrates the speaker and mixer into a single unit, making it easy to carry. Storage space is also provided on the back of the mixer section, so microphones and cables can be stored for even easier transportation.

In terms of sound quality, I found the sound to be rounded, or rather, gentle and easy to listen to, with no ringing in the ears even when the sound is loud.

I think this is suitable for live events at a café.
Personally, I like the simplicity of the mixer knobs.

CLASSIC PRO / PA12/6

I recommend the PA12/6 because it is simple and easy to operate, and anyone can use it easily.
It has 6 channels of mic/line inputs and red/white RCA inputs on the rear panel for inputting sound source equipment, making it ideal for school events and small live events.

Since it is a separate type, the speakers are flexible in that they can be positioned and oriented according to the environment and space in which they are used!

The sound quality is excellent, with the powerful sound that only a speaker with the large size of a 12-inch wooden enclosure can provide.

A microphone and microphone cable are also included, and it’s amazing that “everything you need to produce sound” is provided at this price.

The XP800 has a maximum output of 400W x 2, which is quite large for a simple PA.
The mixer section, with its large Bluetooth logo, is simple and easy to use. The dongle installed on the top can be connected to a dedicated wireless USB microphone, making it easy to create a wireless system, which is highly tested.

Compared to the rounded sound of the EON208P, the sound quality is more like a square image (can you tell?), clear and easy to hear, making it a versatile PA system that can be conveniently used in various situations such as live performances, meetings, events, and parties.

YAMAHA / STAGEPAS 600BT

STAGEPAS 600BT is a super simple standard PA from YAMAHA.
It has enough channels, 3-band EQ, effects, and feedback prevention.

The sound quality is not as round as the EON208P, not as crisp as the XP800, and somewhere in between.

I feel that it has the most volume and sound pressure among the products I introduced here, so I feel that it can be recommended for outdoor events. In fact, I often see them at events in shopping malls or at outdoor events.

BEHRINGER / EPS500MP3

The convenient point of the EPS500MP3, with its cute signal-like LED meter, is that it is equipped with an MP3 player, which can play background music by saving the sound source to a USB memory device and connecting it directly.
For example, by saving a song from a kindergarten or nursery school play or running the USB in advance, you can easily move on to the next program playback.
It also has a VOP button, which, when turned on, automatically lowers the stereo channel volume when a signal enters CH1-4 during sound source playback. Just having this turned on reduces the need to lower the BGM at MC timing, which is very convenient from the PA operator's point of view.
In terms of sound quality, I think it’s about the image of a regular hexagon. (Am I understandable? lol) It has a hardness in sound between XP800 and STAGEPAS600BT, and I felt that I could enjoy a sense of loss in the high frequency range more than STAGEPAS.

How was it?
I made a very serious comparison, but to sum up:

• Recommend EON208P
• PA12/6 is cheapest but still packs a punch
• XP800 for sound quality
• STAGEPAS600BT is the standard
• EPS500MP3 is in the middle of all of them

I guess I would say that the EPS500MP3 is in the middle of all of them.
