Top 3 Tools I Bought This Year That Made Repairs Easier

I was working on replacing the dashboard of my NA Roadster with one from a NB Roadster. The dashboard had cracks on the top surface due to age-related deterioration, and I happened to be able to purchase a set of dashboards from a local parts shop. The interior of the car was freshened up at once and I am very pleased with the results.

I'll leave it at that ....... Since there are only a few days left in this year, I would like to summarize this or find a way to sum it all up! So, this time, I would like to summarize the tools that I have used this year to make repairs and adjustments easier. It's not that big of a deal, but please bear with me.

① Flat file (with oil lubricant)

This is this year's MVP tool. It was so effective that I was really impressed.
The main use of this tool is for deburring and rounding frets. It is very easy to finish because the cutting performance is very good, and it is possible to cut with a small number of times, and the scratches are not so rough. It has completely surpassed another flat file I had been using. I use it so much that it is surely one of my top 3 most frequently used tools.

By the way, I bought it on the recommendation of a senior employee.

② SHINY MAN

When you want to remove stains from plated items, it is a standard practice to polish them with a compound, but if you use it on colored items such as gold plated items, they will turn into just silver. However, gold plating is especially prone to rusting. This was the answer to such a problem. It can fight against almost all plated items. The color does not fade easily (not that it doesn't!), and the amount needed is small, so it lasts a long time because you only need to use a small amount. I think this item retains plated finishes really well.

③ PLAYTECH Cleaning Cloth Premium

The texture is moist and pleasant to the touch. What I like the most is that the texture is soft and gentle to the paint film, yet it is hard enough to trap small dust particles like conventional cleaning cloths. Another nice point is that the price is low enough that you can easily replace it when it gets old.
