Hello everyone, how are you enjoying your drum playing?
When I think of a drum set, I think of the bass drum, snare drum, toms, hi-hats, cymbals, etc., but even if I was to simplify it, it is made up of many different instruments.
Even though it has a simple structure, the drum set has a strong presence, but by adding to the drum kit, I will introduce various percussion instruments that will enrich your expression even further!
Bell and Block
Bell and Block can be the main character or a supporting character in a song! But I still listen carefully when I hear a sound in a music.
LP (Latin Percussion) / LP1207 Jam Block
The classic LP (Latin percussion) jam block! It is characterized by its clear, penetrating sound. Whether you use it as an accent or add it in between rhythm patterns, it will help you to eliminate any sense of incompleteness while still making a strong presence. There are variations in tone, such as high pitch and piccolo, so please choose according to the mood of the song or your preference.
The Agogo Bell is popular in Latin and salsa music!
I'm grateful that it can be mounted on stands and other places. Space-saving is important.
Tambourine
The tambourine is the unsung hero of many different songs. I come from a brass band background, so I'd like to focus on the tambourine, but that's not possible when it comes to a drum set.
The tambourine from Playtech is excellent value for money! It can also be mounted, so you can easily introduce it as an accent for your music.
LP (Latin Percussion) / LP193 Tambourine for Hi-Hat Stand
A tambourine for hi-hat stands! You can switch between open and closed jingles with the touch of a button, and change the expression of the sound depending on the song. It's so fresh to be able to attach it to a hi-hat stand.
LP (Latin Percussion) / LP386 Tambourine Pedal
The tambourine pedal is great for people with their hands busy! There's also a bass drum and hi-hat, so it might be difficult to master them in some cases. It seems to go well with cajon and other instruments!
It's a great point that it reproduces the sound of hand-played instruments and comes with a DW2000 pedal.
Other
LP (Latin Percussion) / LP812-BN Timbales
The image of the timbales is strongly associated with Latin salsa, but they are also used in J-pop and other genres. It's fun to hear them in these contexts and think, “This sound is a timbale!” This size would be easy to play in a drum set.
Attachment
Important issue! Attachments. This is what makes the mount!
LP (Latin Percussion) / LP592B-X Percussion Attachment
This attachment can be attached to the rim of various instruments such as congas, toms, and timbales! It is lightweight and compact, so it won't take up much space when you carry it around. The rod diameter is 3/8”.
LP (Latin Percussion) / LP236T Super Mount All
The name is reassuring. Super Mount All. You can mount a variety of instruments such as cowbells and tambourines in a space-saving way. The rod diameter is 3/8”.
How was it? Of course, a simple drum structure is attractive, but please try adding percussion that accents your mood and music!
