Recommended Uses of Intelli Stage Series by Surface Finish

Did you know that Sound House also sells stages? You may not think of a stage as something you need to buy, but if you are going to use it more than once, it can be cheaper to buy it than to rent one. The stages we sell at Sound House are foldable and easy to store. One of the easiest and most popular of these is the Intelli Stage series!

This series is available in three different surface finishes: carpet, industrial, and tuff coat.
We often receive enquiries about these surface finishes, so I would like to give you a brief explanation of each one! I would also like to introduce some recommended uses based on my own experience of actually standing on the stage and using it. Please note that this contains only my personal impressions, so I hope you will read this only as a reference!

Carpet

Intelli Stage / PLATFORM Carpet 1x1

If you plan to use a stage platform indoors, I recommend the carpet version! The carpeted surface makes it safe to use in environments where small children are likely to use it. It is actually used in kindergartens and other facilities.
I also found it to be the least likely to produce the echoing of footsteps when jumping or dancing. It is also recommended for theatre presentations and dance showcases where stepping sounds are a concern!

Industrial

Intelli Stage / PLATFORM Industrial 1x1

Splashproof and can be used outdoors. Can also be used for outdoor stages in events such as school festivals! (Not waterproof and therefore not designed for permanent outdoor installation).
Here is a close-up photo of the surface (Sorry about the reflection, it's a little hard to see...).

The surface has a hexagonal pattern applied as an anti-slip measure, as seen in the image. Doesn't this surface give off a stylish impression? Even from a distance, the black color looks quite cool, so I think it would stand out even on a runway!
As a dancer, I also think that the industrial version is the most suitable as a dance stage. Dancers probably have a strong image of linoleum being used for dance stages and studio floors. This is not linoleum, but I personally think it is the closest in appearance, etc., of the three types (^-^;

Tuff Coat

Intelli Stage / PLATFORM Tuff Coat 1x1

Like the industrial version, this one is drip-proofed and can be used for outdoor events! (This is not suitable for permanent outdoor installation).
The surface has a rough texture with fine bumps. Here is a close-up photo of the surface↓.

There is no special anti-slip treatment, but when it dries, it feels like the most non-slip material of the three. If you are setting up a high stage, it is safer to use a non-slip surface (^^).
Recommended for use as a stand for MCs and for event displays!
I felt it was a little hard to move because there are a lot of turns and other movements in dance. If you mainly use it for dancing, the other two types may be more suitable.
