Support Diary Vol. 4! This time, we will introduce some examples of inquiries received, such as "No sound from a condenser microphone" and "No effects output from a mixer"
●Part 1 RODE / NT1-A condenser microphone
* Inquiry: "No sound from a condenser microphone.
Symptom "There's no sound from my condenser microphone". Actually, we get this inquiry quite frequently! And the fact is, about half of those inquiries were from end users using the condenser mic without phantom power.
What is phantom power in the first place?
Phantom power is supplied by connecting using an XLR male-female cable between the mic and the equipment being used.
Make sure that the phantom power supply is secure. Not all equipment supplies the same 48V, as some supply 24V and others only 12V. The correct voltage required by the microphone must be supplied by the equipment. Also, another common cause of not getting sound is the use of an XLR female-phone cable. Please also check this.
●Part 2 STAGE EVOLUTION / DMXOPERATOR2 DMX controller
* Inquiry: "Dimmer flashes"
The symptom: the dimmer flashes no matter what is connected due to a problem with the lighting controller. The problem was that the switch on the back was set to MIDI. When using DMX, be sure to switch the rear switch to the DMX side to output the signal normally.
* The red frame is the MIDI/DMX switch.
Check that the switch settings are appropriate for your application.
●Part 3 CLASSIC PRO / CSP6, CSP8 PA speaker
* Inquiry: "Bracket mounting screws are not included with the bracket.
The symptom: "The bracket mounting screws are not included with the bracket." The mounting screws are not included, and you need to remove the screws attached to the speaker to attach the bracket.
Here is a HOW TO video of how to attach the bracket on the product page, so please check it out!

●Part 4 CLASSIC PRO / PDMII power distributor
* Inquiry: "The power supply turns off automatically after the power has been on for a while."
Power supply module PD II series. This product is equipped with an "Excessive power supply protection circuit". This is a function that protects equipment by automatically activating the protection circuit when an abnormal voltage is supplied, such as excessive voltage or low voltage is supplied due to problems with the power supply or an accidental cable connection error has occurred.
The symptom: "The power turns off on its own". This means that when the power supply voltage becomes 115V or more, the protection function is activated and the power of the main unit is turned off. Unplug the power cable, check that the power supply voltage is less than 115 V, and then turn on the power again.
●Part 5 YAMAHA / MGP16X analog mixer
* Inquiry: "The right channel stereo out is not being output."
This symptom: "Even if the device is changed, there is no sound from the right channel". The cause was that all PAN knobs were set to far left. Please confirm the position of PAN just in case.
* The red knob in the red frame is the PAN knob.
●Part 6 Soundcraft / Notepad-12FX USB mixer
* Inquiry: "No effect is applied."
The symptom: "No effect is applied". This was because the level knob for channel 11/12 /FX RTN was not raised. It may be hard to notice because the channel 11/12ch level and the effects return knob are shared.
If this symptom occurs, check this knob.
* The knob in the red frame is the channel 11/12 / FX RTN knob.
