Monitor headphones are a necessity for computer music, and although SONY's MDR-CD900ST (the red one) and MDR-7506 (the blue one) are the standard and the most reliable, they are a bit expensive at over 10,000 yen. I recommend the CLASSIC PRO CPH7000, which can be purchased for about 4,000 yen.
The CPH7000 is a Sound House original monitor headphone, and it has gained a good reputation through word of mouth and reviews. As someone who loves Sound House, I would definitely buy these headphones! I'm in love with Sound House, so it's a must buy for me. Here are my honest first impressions of the CPH7000.
CLASSIC PRO / CPH7000 In-Ear Monitor Headphones
Original Sound House headphones, 40mm driver unit, sealed type, frequency response: 10-30,000Hz
■ How is the sound quality as monitor headphones?
The CPH7000 sound quality has a slight bass emphasis, but the mid-range and high-range sounds are clear and well-defined. The bass is slightly stronger, so these headphones can be used for listening purposes as well as for monitoring purposes.
However, the high resolution of the sound may tire out your ears if you use them for listening for long periods of time. I often connect the headphones to my computer and listen to rock music for hours while I work, and the CPH7000 sound is so clear that I can't concentrate on my work and concentrate on the song, so I use the equalizer to lower the high frequency range and make the sound a little muffled when I’m listening to them.
■ Are the earpads and headband easy to use?

Long-term wear requires earpads that are comfortable to wear, and the CPH7000 has large, sealed earpads that completely cover the ears with an over-the-ear design. The pads are soft so you don't feel much pressure on your ears.
○ Ear pads rotate 180°

The earpads provide good sound insulation. When you put them on, you can hear the sound around you a little, but the sound doesn’t leak out. The earpads can be rotated 180°, which is an interesting feature, and you can turn them outward to listen to sound without wearing them.
○ Cushioned headband

The headband is large, so even people with large heads will not feel that they’re tight. The inside of the headband is cushioned, so it does not hurt even if it is against your head for a long time. I like the comfort of the headband.
■ How about the design?

The design is very simple, but it doesn’t look cheap. The silver line on the outside is a point of interest and makes it look a little more luxurious.
■ How about the cord and headphone jack?

The headphone cord of the CPH7000 is very soft. It is soft and easy to roll up the cord when it is not in use. It is also thick, so it is hard to break the cord. The headphone jack (plug) is a 3.5mm mini-plug, but it comes with a screw-in adapter to convert it to 6.3mm, so it can be used with either size.
■ Is it a good monitor headphone overall?
I think the CPH7000 is good enough as monitor headphones. To be honest, I was wondering which one to buy with the SONY MDR-7506 (the blue ones), but they have good sound quality and comfort, and are also low-priced! I highly recommend them.
■ If you are particular about brands, I also recommend SONY and AKG headphones
If you really want a brand name monitor headphones, I recommend the following products! Here are some recommendations for those who really want a brand name monitor headphones.
SONY / MDR-CD900ST Sealed-type studio monitor headphones
The MDR-CD900ST is the most popular monitor headphones used in recording studios in Japan. With a playback frequency range of 5 to 30,000 Hz, it has a flat sound that faithfully reproduces the original sound and the ability to hear even the smallest of details. If you want to use the most famous monitor headphones, choose these.
SONY / MDR-7506 Standard Studio Monitor Headphones
The MDR-7506 monitor headphones by Sony are highly used in recording studios overseas. They have a softer sound quality and more bass emphasis than the MDR-CD900ST. These monitor headphones can also be folded, making them convenient for carrying around.
AKG / K240 Studio Monitor Headphones
Semi-open AKG monitor headphones. Despite their low price, they feature a luxurious design, sound quality that faithfully reproduces the original sound and a headband that is comfortable to wear. The ability to re-cable the headphones is another key feature, allowing you to change to a cable with the sound quality you prefer that also comes in handy in the event that the cable breaks. They are semi-open, so sound leakage does occur, but if this isn’t a problem for you, i highly recommend these monitor headphones.
