GENSHI SHINBO is the world’s leading Pink Floyd tribute band led by Takehiko “shake” Kogure. The band toured last fall to the end of the year to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the album “The Division Bell” where they performed songs from this album and other songs from Pink Floyd’s entire band career, which blew Pink Floyd fans away. And in March 2025, an event titled “shake Presents Shining 1970’s - 2 Days of British Rock” will be held, in which the band and audience will come together to examine the history of British rock and Western music in Japan in the 1970s! On March 8 (Sat.), in addition to GENSHI SHINBO, Mr. Jimmy, the man who devoted everything to Led Zeppelin and whose autobiographical film is currently receiving rave reviews, will also make an appearance! Then, on March 9 (Sun.), he will perform a show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of “Wish You Were Here,” an acquired masterpiece that has gained high acclaim over time and has grown with their fans! The event will feature the very popular Queeness, the ultimate Queen tribute band, whose performance at the Rising Sun Rock Festival, is also legendary. Both days are a must-see for those who experienced 1970s UK rock in real time and for those who are reliving it.
The venue is the Hibiya Park Concert Hall, where GENSHI SHINBO performed a spectacular Pink Floyd reenactment in 2023.
It will be an event where you will inevitably be bathed in supreme rock music under the urban sky.
