We have released two videos featuring reviews and demonstrations of PLAYTECH’s PVC244 acoustic cello and PEC100BR electric cello. The videos feature cellist Udai Shika, a member of Bank Band who has performed with and arranged string parts for numerous top artists, including ONE OK ROCK and Hiroji Miyamoto, both in the studio and onstage.
The PVC244 is a solid-wood model that defies conventional expectations with its remarkably affordable price. Despite being one of the most affordable cellos on the market, it delivers a rich, authentic resonance. Meanwhile, the PEC100BR is a versatile electric cello suitable for both silent late-night practice with headphones and creative sound shaping with effects pedals.

[About P.I.T. (Public in Third)]
P.I.T. is a performer-run musicians’ association led by cellist Udai Shika, who serves as its executive secretary. The organization brings together a diverse range of musicians across generations, genres, and instruments.
Since its establishment in 1996, P.I.T. has worked with CPRA (Center for Performers’ Rights Administration, Japan Council of Performers’ Rights & Performing Arts Organizations) to expand musicians’ rights and establish equitable royalty distribution systems.
In 1999, P.I.T. joined forces with seven other performers’ associations to establish MPN (Music Performers’ Rights Organization Japan, now a general incorporated association), enabling royalties to be distributed directly to individual performers.
Today, as a regular organizational member of MPN, P.I.T. contributes to its management and works with various recording-related organizations and groups to foster a better working environment for musicians in an ever-changing music industry.
