Sound House is now accepting entries for the fourth edition of its recording contest for middle and high school students!

We will lend participants a set of recording equipment. Participants are asked to submit recordings created using the loaned equipment. Entries will be reviewed by the judging committee, and winners will be announced twice a year. Each school that submits a winning entry will receive the equipment!

Any music genre or band format is welcome! We look forward to your passionate entries as you create memories with your club or friends!

■ Submission Requirements

Works recorded using equipment loaned by Sound House.

■ Schedule

Entry period: Year-round

Announcement of results: September (for entries received between March and August), and March (for entries received between September and February of the following year).

■ Terms and Conditions

・Open to students currently enrolled in junior high schools, high schools, technical high schools, or colleges of technology in Japan
・Must use equipment loaned by Sound House
・Applications must be submitted by a club advisor or school official
・Applicants must obtain consent from a club advisor or school official (identification required)
・Applicants must be able to provide Sound House with a shipping address under the name of the school or club
・Applicants must be able to receive the loaned equipment at the school
・Applicants must submit a completed recording project upon returning the equipment
・Applicants must provide at least three photos of the recording session upon returning the equipment
・Applicants must agree to cooperate with Sound House and sponsoring companies regarding content creation, social media promotion, media coverage, and interviews
・No restrictions on genre or band format
・Both original songs and cover songs are accepted

*The equipment will be shipped in five separate packages. Please make arrangements to receive them.

*Equipment loans are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If requests exceed availability, applicants may be asked to wait until equipment becomes available.

*The Executive Committee cannot respond to inquiries regarding the judging process or selection results.
