SolidStateLogic has released two new microphone preamplifier models, Pure Drive Quad 4ch and Pure Drive Octo 8ch. Pure Drive is based on the clean SuperAnalogue, SSL's traditional clean SuperAnalogue, which has been included in the ORIGIN. Based on the PureDrive preamplifier's ability to switch between preamp sounds and drive tones, it is a multi-channel preamplifier that also has the new Asymmetric Drive, ADAT, and AES/EBU digital connections, and an on-board USB interface. Four different microphone preamp input impedance options are available to explore various tonal possibilities or match the microphone's impedance to the preamp. In addition, each mic pre has independent +48V phantom power, polarity inversion, and high-pass filtering—possibilities and workflows for professional producers and recording engineers.
