GENSHI SHINBO, a Pink Floyd tribute band led by Takehiko "Shake" Kogure, performed "The Dark Side of the Moon" and "Live at Pompeii" at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall in June, captivating many fans.
GENSHI SHINBO has announced a tour of "PINK FLOYD TRIPS 2023 'The Dark Side of the Moon' 50th Anniversary Event - Coming to Your Town! 〜will be held from November to December. The tour will feature a reenactment of the live documentary film "Live at Pompeii" and will visit Nagano, Kanazawa, Kobe, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. This film documented a live performance at the ruins of Pompeii, Italy, the year before the release of "The Dark Side of the Moon. The film was made when Floyd's experimental spirit was reaching its peak, and this fan-favorite video work will be performed again.
The second part is a luxurious two-part exceptional live performance of the 1973 monster album "The Dark Side of the Moon," which needs no explanation, plus α.
On Saturday, December 30, the final day of the tour at EX THEATER ROPPONGI, the band will perform the annual reprise of "Atom Heart Mother" with a horn section, cello, and chorus. This year, a chorus of 100(?) members will be recruited to perform the song. Auditions will also be held, and we look forward to seeing how many choir members they will have! You may be a page in the history of Western music in Japan!
