Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts dies at a hospital in London, England on August 24th. He was 80 years old.
Worked as a drummer for Alexis Korner's Bruce Incorporated in the early 1960s. In 1963, Convinced by Brian Jones and other members to officially join The Rolling Stones. Charlie's drumming, with his unique snare, hi-hat style and other unique flair, has helped the Rolling Stones adapt to the music scene of different eras. Mick Jagger, other members of the Stones, Paul McCartney and many other artists have paid tribute to Charlie and expressed their condolences.
