Natural horns were used until the first half of the 19th century and have a simple structure without a valve. Haydn and Mozart's concertos were composed during the time when the natural horn was played. Five replacement pipes (Krug) are included to change the keys (A / D / Eb / F / G).

Silver Baritone horns are often used in brass bands by euphonium players. It has a bright tone due to the thin tube. Rose brass is used for the mouse pipe, and the finish is coated with a silver plating, giving it a mellow tone.
