SUPRO Guitar Product Lineup
The new Conquistador and Clermont semi-hollow guitars from SUPRO are now available. While adopting the conventional SUPRO double cut body shape, they were born from the idea of proportionally increasing the size of the body according to the design of the typical semi-hollow "335" guitar designed by Ted McCarty.
The Clermont is a flat-top semi-hollow guitar made of maple. Equipped with two Mini humbucker size Gold Foil pickups, it outputs a wide range of clear and powerful sounds. The practicality of the roller bridge is also an attractive feature.
The Conquistador is a semi-hollow guitar with beveled cut made of mahogany. With a Gold Foil pickup similar to the Clermont neck pickup and an Alnico 3 PAF style humbucker in the bridge position, it delivers the vintage clarity and brilliant tone. The nylon saddle bridge that both looks and sounds full vintage is also attractive.
Both guitars feature a smooth satin-back neckline, Bigsby B7 vibrato, Hofner-style cream/gold 'teacup' knob hardware, and a '50's "wiring" method that keeps the top end glowing when the pickup volume is lowered. They are guitars that provide a well-balanced mix retro and modern, that not only look but also sound and play comfortably.
